Spurs have shown immense mental fortitude, rallying from 1-0 down to beat City just a few weeks ago. They constantly get late winners, such as against West Ham, Lyon and Soton today. Same goes for Arsenal, they have become really great at grinding out victories in search for CL football this season and last season. Their comeback against Norwich was a testament to this.

Chelsea, on the other hand, have blown 2 goal leads twice this season, against Soton and Reading, when they conceded 2 in the dying minutes. Also conceded late against Liverpool.

It really can only go one way now, Spurs and Arsenal are constantly demonstrating the hallmark of CL contenders, the ability to get wins when playing shitty while Chelsea always drop stupid points in those circumstances.

Spurs have dropped the 2nd most points from winning positions this season. (Although it is true they win back alot of points too).

No way near as cut and cry as you make it out.

Maybe you're just setting expectations to rock bottom so you can feel better when whatever happens, happens.

Never been so nervous, that was worse, and better, than Wembley rolled in to one. Can't believe what happened at the ends, but thanks to Leeds for making sure.

Steve Bruce: "I'll put this horrible body on a beach somewhere and see how red it goes."

Of course, I am not entirely serious. I don't really think Chelsea will lose at home to Spurs for instance. Just with the amount of late. grindy wins they seem to get (maybe it's confirmation bias at work), tracking Arsenal and Spurs results is reminding me of tracking United's results back when we contested the title. I always knew they would somehow end up getting a late winner.

Looks like JH1 will win a third successive golden glove award. 16 clean sheets this season, 3 more than Cech who is second.

Excellent. I like Steve Bruce. Be good to see him in the PL again!

He is better than Ronaldo and Messi. Absolutely the best player in the world right now. Those guys cannot do what he is doing. How did he turn that into a goal? It was an absolute nothing situation.

Disagree. Messi and Ronaldo have been making the difference for their teams more often than not consistenly for 6-7 seasons now. Ronaldo was scoring long range blooters at United. Remember the humongous goal against Porto in a CL knockout round which sent United through?

Remember when Junior Hoilett was one of the most promising young players in the league?

Now been relegated in successive seasons with 2 different clubs.

EDIT: Fair play to Remy, he's the only one who looks like he still gives a shit.

Yeah of course it would, but then there would still be 20 goals the equivalent of Bale's that we'd be ignoring for the sake of an argument. Bale at Barcelona wouldn't get a look in because Messi is there. He'd be on 15 goals a year if he's lucky. Look at Barca without Messi. Hopeless team, because they rely too much on him and funnel all their play through him. Same with Spurs and Bale, that's why he stands out because they play as to utilise him.

I meant if you replace Messi or Ronaldo with Bale, Bale would score 50. If he can get 25 on Spurs with limited help and in a league that is far better defensively, he'd easily double that with every other player on the pitch being world class.
