Well Iceland is a modern Western country despite its' small population. Shouldn't have been a big surprise the culture isn't that far off from yours.

I know about the modern western country part but I was hoping to see some unique Icelandic identity manifested through particular architecture and the way people dress; something like how U.K., France, and Germany have their unique identities. Iceland comparatively comes off as an indistinct homogenized western country. Just an observation.

I dunno, did you see the nature shots? They were beautiful.

I feel that for some countries you need to find their identity in nature moreso than the city.

Also they should totally do The Raid in this style.

I'd say its people, since they're actually what constitutes a nation. Iceland is pretty, don't get me wrong, but it's 'just' scenery. That's not where a countries character lies, though it certainly influences it.

GB should have higher standards for Quick Looks. A QL like Blood Knights shouldn't happen and oftentimes the EX will serve as the only Quick Look for a game since Jeff has this incorrect idea that they're the same as regular Quick Looks. EXs are and will always be a biased and unchallenging look at a game, which is nothing I want to see.
 
I wish GB went to more places. The 2/3 travel logs they have done are easily my favorite things they ever made.

If they ever go to gamescom or TGS again they should do them.

They do not really do previews, if they attend all the preview events they publishers had all the time, they would have a travel thing almost every week.

But simply do not have the man power and they don't get long form video content from a preview event so its a waist of time sadly.
 
Drew did a fantastic job on the Iceland-video. It's such a hard swing from dudes sitting on a sofa to a well produced, well edited video like that.
 
That Iceland video was fantastic. It was a good 18:52 minutes well spent. The composition of the shots were extremely well done. I definitely need to add Iceland to my list of places to travel to in the future. Major props to drew for the editing and eating the meat from the sheep's eye.

I can't believe they ate whale, puffin, sea bird, and fermented shark which looked like it wasn't as bad as the Swedes' fermented herring. The end was pretty cool; the locals are indeed pretty friendly like Patrick said on the Bombcast that the one dude got of his car to tell them which part they should eat.

Oh and the Penis museum was mind blowing awesome. I hope they brought back one of those mugs with a penis for a handle.
 
This Travelogue just goes to show a bit of hunger and need to push yourselves for the good of the site is there in at least Patrick and Drew.

The raid needs to happen after this. It NEEDS to happen.
 
Today I learned that Drew is also great at identifying tastes.

And holy shit at Patrick's ID. It looks like something from a fan parody.
