How exactly is a guy who lost his wife evil? He didn't hatch the blow up the glades idea until after he got back.

Ha, yeah, ok, barring the fact he wants to blow up the glades, and the fact that he's killed factory workers in the past episode, he also had something to do with the bombing of Ollie's boat, but he's not evil...

I actually think it would be better if Malcolm killed Thea in front of Ollie (could care less about Roy).

Ollie would go ballistic.

Edit: I also think that is what would cause Ollie to best Malcolm (he keeps getting his ass kicked from him).

I support this brilliant idea of killing Slurry McSlur.

But again he did that AFTER he got back from his training.

Not sure what you're saying. Either he is or he isn't evil. He's certainly acting that way. Maybe something happened after Nanda Parbat that drove him mad?

When he left, he was simply grief-stricken. After he returned, the grief festered as the circle's progress was too slow.

Soooo...the first season must be close to wrapping up. Consensus? I saw the first episode and though it was OK, if a little PG when it comes to the violence.

I don't remember what happens in the first episode, but if you want more violence the main dude's constantly filling henchmen full of arrows and snapping necks.

As for the rest of the show, it gets better. It focuses less on lame family drama bullshit and some of the boring characters. A couple new characters are added midseason that improve the show. The acting gets better. A little bit. The main guy still can't really act.
Motherfucker, please take acting lessons. Please.

It's got a lot of flaws, but even the flaws are pretty entertaining. Just don't take it seriously and it's a fun ride.

It has flaws but its one of my favorite shows currently on.
the action gets better and better. side characters are the highlight for me.

Better than I ever thought. I thought the show was going to suck.
Amell doesnt get the credit he deserves for playing about 3 or 4 different versions of Ollie.

Still not sure how evil Malcolm Merlyn could have been trained in Nanda Parbat since it is supposed to be a place of serenity and good.

He met a man there. So he goes there grief-stricken, trains, meets this man (Sensei or Rhas) and his ideas turn him evil.

Personalities are not that simple. His plan is delusional and evil, yes. He can still show good traits regardless of what he thinks about the glades.

Pretty much the standard league of assassins clean city by destroying it thats how they roll.

Evil is such a nasty word.
And depends on context.
For all those criminals Ollie must be the most evil person alive.
How can a man so alpha be evil?

I was left reeling by how amazingly stupid it was when Oliver gets with Laurel. I mean, it's already obvious that it's going to happen because Green Arrow and Black Canary, and also because of any scene the two have ever had together.

Also how much of a hilarious jerkass does he have to be to go tell Tommy to get back with her and then fuck her like 10 minutes later? And why did he do it? Almost literally no reason whatsoever. Because maybe he won't be Green Arrow forever? It's amazing how badly done it was.

One thing that bothered me a lot in the last episode was the same shit Felicity did. Saying a line and then saying 'I meant that and that'. The first time it was funny and now it's getting old already.

Dem balls must be heavy man after that crazy girl affair. What seems a long time ago.

I don't think it was done that badly, compared to other "couple" parts of the series.
It was done in a way to show us that Ollie is still a giant idiot and his own worst enemey.

All his mistakes come back to bite him - not going after Moira, never ever trying to make up with Tommy and instead giving him 10 new reasons to hate him, never ever trying to work things out with Laurel but instead going to get her under him again, never trying to be honest with Helena (He is very much responsible for her fall), killing without remorse and ignoring everyone that tells him to think his plot through...

One of the core traits of GA was for decades that he fucks up his relationships time and time again and I think that the show is really good at showing us this.

Not bringing shado back with him from the start...

Life isn't black and white, since humans aren't clairvoyant, you don't know what someone is going to do later in life. I'll ask you this, what did Malcolm do to prevent him from being accepted at Nanda Parbat?

He's the best kind of villain - one who believes he's the good guy.

Mix that in with the fact he hears voices in his head telling him to do these things and you have an even better show!

Why a few years? Also I'm skeptical because this show is REALISTIC(?) in a sense where we haven't seen anything supernatural in it. There probably won't even be a canary cry which is stupid

we can still get some kind of technology that magnifys the frequency of her voice to replicate a canary cry

It's fine in theory, I just think it's gone way too fast. At the end of the episode, they really tried to sprint to the finish line and set up for major plot points in the finale, and it doesn't really seem like they gave them enough time to develop.

While the show isn't going to win any awards for its writing, I've usually been pretty satisfied with its pacing and plotting. I really think they just dropped the ball right there.

Next season she's gonna show up in Starling City with a little kid named "Sharrow."

So is that a thing in the comics? She does bird cries?

Arrow is one of those shows that I think would really benefit from an extra 10 minutes of runtime. The pacing is great, but you're right, they've tried to cram so much in these last few episodes that some of the Laurel/non-action scenes seem unintentionally hilarious by how quickly they develop and zoom by.

Too bad.

Yes she does.

She is also pretty good at hand-to-hand.

His name will be Connor!

She is a on and off meta human - she sometimes uses a ultrasonic scream. It is actually a quite cool power, but would clash with the tone of the Arrow-verse for sure...

two words.. Applied Science

she gets a vocal amplifier after some horrible incident or something.

Maybe she carries mini-canarysounding-flashbangs in her mouth and spits them at her enemies.

"Bitch, did you just spit on me!?"

*bang*

Oh man, I don't envy the creative team who has to figure out what the hell to do with her. Or the costume people. Unless Katie Cassidy is into fishnets.

Well, even if she isn't, I'm cool with that.

She needs to go back to being a blonde though. She was ridiculously hot as a blonde. Her going brunette has paradoxically lost some of the luster, even though I find fake brunettes hot.
