Yeah, this is the same canon that has Clark Kent wear glasses that somehow make him anonymous

Seeing as they are changing a few things to be more realistic, ie vertigo etc, slightly altering charachters backgrounds, like thea being called speedy (for now) etc

I reckon they will go with this for laurel, taken from her mothers wiki
So replace Dinah drake with laurel

As introduced during the Golden Age of Comic Books, the Black Canary was the alter-ego of Dinah Drake, and took part in crime-fighting adventures alongside her love interest and eventual husband, Gotham City detective Larry Lance. The Black Canary did not possess superpowers, but was a hand-to-hand fighter who frequently posed as a criminal in order to covertly take down criminal organisations. She also featured as a member of the Justice Society of America

And thats how i tink they will implement it, mind you didn't one of the producers recently tweet, no superpowers on the show, for NOW, but that could change in he future , seems they backtracked a bit, i hope they don't go down this route

That or they'll have some device that'll allow Black Canary to transmit powerful sound waves or something. But the ground work for her turn to Black Canary has been layed out. I kind of doubt she'll adopt that persona in S2, but who knows? I'd say Roy becoming Speedy in S2 is more plausible, Laurel won't become Black Canary till later. But again if they keep the pacing at this rate it's possible they'll both become heroes in S2.

You know what this means, guys. poor Chesthair has gotta die first.

Someone's probably mentioned this before, but Roy and Thea are both based off of the two Speedys from the comics.

I think it's possible that they'll have both of them be sidekicks. Of course it's just as possible that they'll kill Thea off, too, just to surprise us. (It would be a happy surprise, though.)

I really hope Thea doesn't get between Roy & a potential relationship with Cheshire at some point.

I had a dream I woke up next to Diggle and we held hands and cuddled. Why I don't know. I don't question these things.

why is laurel's dumb ass still in the glades? oh god this Roy stuff is insufferably lame.

sn: maybe it's just me, but the show never made a good case for why The Glades should be saved, other than the fact that you just shouldnt kill a lot of people.

oh shit merlyn won?

edit: how'd you guys see this early?

I would say "it's bad to kill thousands of people" is a pretty damn good reason. lol.

Roy and Thea suck. Roy less so.
