I just wasn't sure if that passage was something like, "As Jesus passed through the market, he heard someone say, 'I do not permit a woman to teach or assume authority over a man; she must be quiet.' 'What a dick,' Jesus thought." Because there's a difference between someone saying something in the Bible and the Bible actually promoting that viewpoint.
But I don't mean to derail the thread or anything. I was just honestly wondering if that quote was just some random person in the Bible or not. Haha.

The last part was just him twisting the knife and being a bit of a dick. I'm sure he doesn't really believe what he quoted.
Then that's completely my mistake. Did not know it would be difficult to see given that I said her ignorance was combated with his sexism, but now I can see why.
