Whelp, just bought Jacob Jones. I'm hoping that this is a good game.
I found a solution to that. Instead of purchasing the item on the Vita store, do it on the Web Store. After that, just download from your download list and it won't freeze.

Ohhhh, maybe that's why I never experience the issue some of you always mention. Yeah, I've only ever bought things on the webstore and queued it up to the d/l list remotely. I've never had a vita download interrupted.

I use a microfiber cloth. Cleaned it once with windex on it, didn't do any harm.
I am sorry, but reading this sequence in order and seeing the final picture made me absolutely lose it. Thank you.
Did you use hints? I've had to SEVERAL times in the 12 or so puzzles I've done so far.

I either breathe on it and then wipe it with the microfiber cloth, or I spray a little bit of water on the cloth first to give it a really good clean.
If you want to clean it like a maniac, you can make a mixture of 1/2 distilled water and 1/2 isopropyl alcohol. Just dab a tiny bit on your cloth, then rub in circles with the wet side, and then rub in circles with the dry side. It's a great way to clean any electronics. I've done that on my TV and monitor before and they looked brand new for a while.

Do not use windex on it. It might not hurt but it's a bad habit. It will ruin LCD screens. Use a microfiber cloth and you don't need any liquid.
While I wouldn't do it just because its odd, its not a big problem because the screen is not exposed. All you're doing is cleaning the plastic over the device. You only have to worry about that with TVs and monitors, and other devices that have an exposed LCD display.

Windex or a diluted isopropyl alcohol solution will not hurt your Vita's screen. That's old info from back when LCDs would have protective covers on them and it could cause them to blur or run behind them.
Not to say you should wipe it down every day, but if you get something on it god forbid that a cloth alone won't get off, you need to use a little solvent.

Welp, bought Jacob Jones based on principles alone. Looks like quality and we need more quality sub $5 games.
I'm probably missing something incredibly obvious:

I'm glad you guys are struggling with it! Was worried it was going to be too easy given the artstyle. Will pick up it soon as I can, such a cheap price, I know lol..(thank goodness for PS+ and 'freebies').
Need to get my vita fixed still :/ gonna be pricey...might want until a pricedrop or something and try and switch it out the screen with a (different) faulty vita on ebay. I heard someone with the exact same issue (literally the exact same part of the touchscreen acting up and miss-sensing in the same way-left side, about an inch in, vertical strip) - say he was quoted $129! He's got a video in that thread of the problem. I might be describing different people actually, but yeah looks to be the same problem and others have mentioned it in the comments too.
I have to standby it on and off to get it to work lol, doesn't even always help. Something with the sensor or something but meh I can manage with most games okay...for now. Need to get it fixed before some more must-play games come out. Velocity Ultra is going to be a pain tomorrow!

I use 2 micro fibre cloths.
Wet one and wring it out so that it's just damp. Rub that all over your Vita then polish off with the dry one.
Works really well for me and I have no scratches yet on my naked screen.
Oh gosh, that Jacob Jones game looks so adorable. And $2.99 seems like a good price. Puzzles seem difficult too, I gather? I'm just worried about the whole Episode 1 thing, I hope I won't need my save data from Episode 1 for things in Episode 2, because 500+ MB is kind of a lot and I'm thinking of deleting it upon completion.
hmm thinking of finally buying Thomas was alone, Zombie Tycoon 2, Rymdkapsel(would be my first mobile game), Jacob, and the sound shapes DLC....
im really not sure abiut Rymdkapsel though, it looks interesting, and its inexspensive I just cant seem to wrap my head around how it plays from videos.

Haven't opened the game yet but I'm guessing you'll probably download an unlock key for the rest of the episodes? How did The Walking Dead do it on the PS3?
There was a kotaku (Stephen Totilo) piece on it recently. He talks about it in the video as he plays it as well, although I haven't finished watching it, looks good:

581 MB, and yes, it has trophies.
EDIT: ...Oh wow, a Friday the 13th reference.
It is a little under 600mb, its worth it, and it doesn't have a platinum (obviously; its under three dollars).

tried to download 2 things on the store and got stuck in the wait to download screen with nothing happening. had to shutdown both times and tried again and it worked. each game froze the first try and worked the second time for each. common problem i see others encountering.

So is that new Sound Shapes DLC just new objects and sounds? Meaning there's really no point in buying it if I have no intention to ever use the level editor?

Velocity Utra will be availale tomorrow for EU PSN users. It will also be free with PlayStation Plus. US Version of Velocity Ultra is tied up in QA so we don't have a release date yet.

Have a smartphone? Just turn on tethering and you are good to go.
I wish I had a PC to make more gifs of Vita clips in games like UC, Wipeout, GR, Unit 13 etc. That gifcam program makes it super easy. Soon.
I don't think people really know what the games are like going by how shocked many were by a wipeout gif I made a while back that was way too much effort without the program.

Nope, just make sure you "purchase" them on your device or using the web store.
