Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | May 2013 | Lovecraftian Wasteland

Great news that Rayman is going to be free on EU PS+. Here in Sweden, physical copies of the game seem to have gotten scarce and used copies have been fetching a fairly hefty price on the local equivalent of Ebay.

I do not know what the hell I am doing in Kyntt Underground.

I'm finding it to be pretty awesome. It's lacking polish (you're right they don't explain anything) but there's some fun platforming so far like an hour in. I have to get Guacamelee! now.

Klei Entertainment need to get their stuff on the Vita, what are they doing. Mark of the Ninja is perfect for the Vita. I haven't even beat it on PC but I know I would dump dozens of hours into it on my Vita.

This is the third week in a row i didnt play any of my vita games. I just browsed the web and youtube on my Vita instead. I dont know if im in a gaming funk or just too many easy distractions on the Vita.

Try pressing jump and switch at the same time. Press both at the same time, then just up + circle. Rinse and repeat.

I got through the Thule Tree thanks to this tip. So glad I gave the game another chance. I'm at the Temple now.

It's funny, Thule Tree was challenging, but I enjoyed it. But when I faced enemies with three different barriers at once, I said to hell with this and put the game down. Guess I enjoy platforming more than fighting.

I'm loving the combat in the game so far. The platforming is starting to feel fun despite the difficulty but I definitely look forward to the fights more.

There's very few if any areas with truly difficult platforming on SOTN. It's all about exploration and action/combat.

Thanks. I'm going to download SOTN (or Dracula X) then. Exploration and combat are my favorite parts of Guacamelee.

I'm going to lie and say it was easy. It was very tough platforming. I loved it though. It requires a lot of switching dimensions mid-air and doing special moves to get where you need to be.

When I finally started looking at the platform parts as "puzzles" instead of tests of reflexes I was able to relax and have fun. The rest of the Thule level was amazing, a high point of the game so far for me.

are the SoundShapes DLC any good for 1.98?

and Jacob Jones is sweeet :O
finally some Layton-love on the Vita

Well, initially all the DLC does is add levels in beat-school. So if you want the trophies, then I say its worth the .99 for each one. The free MilkCrate levels are very good as they're essentially new albums. However the MilkCrate albums have no trophies if you're wondering. Eventually we'll get user created levels in the DubStep/80s but there isn't much yet.

Yep, a lot of the platforming is a mere puzzle to sort out, but it is still challenging and clever in the way Drinkbox handled it. Great game.

The rise of digital must annoy the living shit out of scalpers. I can imagine a subset of the retro crowd aren't too pleased either.

Saw this in the store on my Vita. Probably an error. No news about the Vita release date yet, right?

Oh my ! I... I won something ! That was unexpected.
Took the Velocity Ultra survey some months ago and semi-forgot about it, I just assumed I was not selected, no big deal, business as usual.

And today in Thunderbird, accompanying an email to promote the release of the game on the EU store, I got a nice email to ask me what is my store of choice to get the free game.

Evidently, more in line with my usual life, my store of choice since buying a Vita is the US one........
(and as a side note, I must be a fucking black cat, the US store was always doing a good job IIRC, as soon as I got in the party it crumbled to shit :3 )

Well anyways, thank you FuturLab !
Oh and before I forget, US PSN, you can die in a fire :p

Of course it's legit. I filled one out too, but I won't hold my breath on winning. That would be a nice $50 out of nowhere, though.

On another note, they did fix the Content Manager with the new firmware. It is now back to refreshing my PC library automatically. Nice.

Thanks for reminding me I had the survey pop up in my inbox on Monday but I was too busy being overly excited about getting Soul Sacrifice on Sony's dime and I forgot. Another 50.00 would be very nice even though I doubt I'll get it.
