Next Xbox Reveal Set For May 21, 10:00 A.M. PST, Livestreamed

I can't wait for those people to eat crow, deluding themselves (what's new) if they still, after all these years, don't get MS's strategy the past few years and why/how it'll change going forward.
 
Speaking of Hyperbolic and console specs, does anyone feel like we're in a fucking Hyperbolic Time Chamber at this point with the waiting

Misunderstanding plus a lot of people not having time to listen and taking other's words for thing causes tailspins. To be honest it didn't gain enough traction to make headlines on Kotaku we can all agree it was stopped early.

I'm lucky having a busy weekend including Monday (it's a public holiday here in Germany) to distract myself from the wait. The next time I'm able to put time into gaming related stuff is Tuesday. :)
 
Major Nelson commented on checking on his phone at lunch to "make sure something isn't on fire." Sign of next Xbox heating issues!?

In all seriousness though, I'm also excited about the post-show, as MN was hinting that it was going to be very interesting and go into a lot more depth about stuff that we'll see at the conference.

2. Short video montage of the Xbox history transitioning into a behind the scenes about the new platform without actually showing it
3. Back to the stage where Don shows off the Nextbox and it's name
4. Shortly talking specs
5. Features overview (kinect, entertainment, OS, always on/used games policy)
6. Explaining OS features (standby, off TV play, smartglass)
7. Explaining and demonstrating new Kinect on OS level
8. Transition to Kinect on games, showcasing Ryse
9. COD
10. Forza/PGR
11. EA sports title
12. Megaton to finish the reveal (short teaser trailer.... Fallout 4 or Alan Wake 2 --> get hype for E3)

We may even see some unknown feature (that Fortaleza Glasses stuff)

I don't think they'll be showing many games, maybe two or three, with some tech demos and product vision montages. From what Greenberg said on that podcast, I'd say the biggest part of the event is going to be people who've designed various aspects of the next Xbox talking about the features, the reasons for their decisions and the long term vision. E3 should be bursting with content, though.

Really? I think should ms come out with similar specs and core games it'll shut up a lot of people, I think some fans are praying they fail and are worried/scared/ect that MS will actually deliver.

Just look at all the 8gb GDDR5 bragging going on.

BTW: Major Nelson's comment was surely related to the fire that happened today at DICE.
 
Update: There probably only CoD on 21st, every other game will be at E3 with 'tons of exclusives' and 'world premieres' and with 'lot to share between E3 and the holidays'.

Update²: seems my wording made some misleading, there won't be 60 minutos of CoD, lol, 'cmon guys, they just said that CoD will be there with gameplay but other games will be saved to E3

No one thought they would have 60 minutes of COD. He's pretty much saying the same thing in both quotes. It seems like the only game shown will be COD. Disappointing if true.
 
I can't see COD: Ghosts being the only video game demo at next week's show.

They probably want to hold off talking about the other games until the Xbox reveal conference itself.

COD: Ghosts was already announced as getting its premiere at the conference so (obviously) they can state that COD will be at the show.
 
"Only For" is from the Gamecube-era. I remember ti far too well, because that's the only games people played on the Gamecube. (Except SC II; the GC version was rad because of Link.) Amazing console though.

The last thing in the world that MS needs to do 21 is talk about the kinect.MS must show at least a couple of new IP immediately to get the attention of the core COD,Forza/PGR are not enough.
