EHHHH I just totally realized I had set the wrong month on my 3DS. oops.

Yeah! That's a good point. Everyone check and make sure, right now, that you have the right date and time set. I forgot to check on my Wii and began City Folk in the year 2017.

...Why would anyone have their systems set to a year any other than the one we're currently in?

Also, in WW (and CF too IIRC) you could add people who weren't in your friend list to your friend list if both agreed to do so via an in-game option since FCs were game-dependant and not a system-wide feature, can you still do that in NL now that friend codes are a system thing and not a game one?

Because when you leave consoles unplugged, they forget the date and time. And then when they ask after you turn them on again, you just hit any old thing because you don't care.

Though I guess the 3DS doesn't have this problem, I did forget to change the time by one hour when the clocks went forward.
 
I have never played an AC before but I am really looking forward to this one. A less gameplay focused and relaxing experience sounds perfect for me right now.

I freaking love 11 PM! 8 AM is also a favorite of mine, heck all the music in this game is amazing. It's on a whole new level compared to the other games (and they had great music as well!)
 
The music really is outstanding this time. Oddly, I didn't like it at first because it felt different. I've grown to appreciate the difference and now I love it.

Meet-ups are too... premeditated. It's way better if people just open their gates and whoever comes in comes in!

We can divide people into regional groups, perhaps, since Europeans most likely will be asleep when the Americans play and so on. Just an idea :P

Of course we can also mash everyone together if people from all kinds of time zones are online at the same time.

Seeing some of you that only have a handful is kind of surprising, I'll get going later this evening and tomorrow and start sending out all the ones I have to everyone.
 
Less than a month!!!!

I've kept myself in the dark with this game. Especially with the music. Got the LE XXL preordered, will give friend codes after I get it. Can't believe the people hating on the XL. Bad taste brigade in full effect.

this thread + swapnote are really having some kind of in-real-time effect. I decided to play Luigi's Mansion like 3 hours ago and still havent because of it, lol
 
I started up my copy of Animal Crossing DS for the first time in about 9 months and it was kinda depressing. I had to go around for a good 30 minutes just weeding the entire town! Also, I realized that 95% of the fish and insects I'm missing are from winter. Doh!
