Anyone interested in Revenge of the Savage Planet? It comes out in about a week.

I really liked Journey to the Savage Planet, but I'm not sure how to feel about this one. The gameplay has moved to third person and also it looks a lot sillier and cartoon-y. Almost like the game High on Life. But I'm willing to check out anything with Metroidvania elements.

Anyone looking forward to this? What do you think of what you've seen so far?

I don't know, the first game was enough. I remember a ton of backtracking across vast distances long jumps and having a hard time remembering how to get around.

Gaven't played the first one, but it's been on my wishlist for ages... Curious about the reception of this new game though, since I know the first one was in 1st person and this one seems to be played in 3rd person perspective.

Would you recommend picking it up?
I liked it. Definitely not as good as Metroid Prime though and not a mirror image of it. It has some Metroid Prime elements, but it's not close to a carbon copy of it. If you're looking for a first person game with Metroidvania elements, exploration and some light first person platforming, it's definitely worth checking out.

I started the first one PC but it had some horrendous stuttering on my GTX 1080 even at minimum settings and 1080p so I gave up on it, it was too distracting like being hit gently with a pool noodle constantly while playing, game seemed fun though so I'll definitely give the sequel a look in.

I played the original and it was fun. But I never finished as it got a bit repetitive going back and forth.
It had a good dose of cynical humor. But nothing memorable.
Considering it can be bought for under 6€ in most key shops, it's worth a play.

Installed it on PC Gamepass, The game does not have an Icon in the xbox library just blank space.
Time to beat is only 5 hours. Completionist 16 hours. Seeing that it's that small, I'm gonna give it a whirl.

edit-it seems xbox service has been down and thats why the icon was missing. ?

I've completed the first one and I'm ready for this. I barely have time to play videogames these days but I tried it for an hour or so and seems like an improvement over the first one. Humour is hit or miss, but I admire their commitment to overstuff everything with jokes.
