I personally care about them because I don't want to play inferior games over a couple of years.
There's probably going to be more F2P stuff, so I wouldn't doubt it.
Not a great game, but I played the shit out of it with my buddies because it was free. Had a lot of good times with that game.
Activision own the IP, so there's literally zero chance of it happening (and it being Durango exclusive).
That's what hurt the most about the death of Bizarre... Activision still own all the IP to the Bizarre-created stuff (Blur and Geometry Wars being the only notable ones).

Irrelevant? If Wii would have been able to match 360/PS3's specs, it might have crushed PS2's dominance. I'm all for the specs as I want tech to continue to advance. Graphics and gameplay can advance with more powerful systems to dev on. I'll take BF4 with bigger environments, improved destruction, and 64 players over another screen-tearing, jaggy, 24 player BF. Specs all over my face.

Maybe I wasn't clear enough and I forgot to add "versions".
I play multiplatform games mostly on consoles and I prefer xbox exclusives over playstation ones and I plan on buying only one console this gen so if "Infinity" ends up being inferior in specs I will be in hard spot.

The difference is when superior versions of those same games exist at the same price, and just because you don't care Zombi U looks far below the common Ps3 game doesn't mean others won't. Some of us like our faces melted when a new generation comes around.
I'm with you, Karak. I always end up with all three consoles and this time it seems I will likely end up with them all day 1 (got a Wii U at launch and won't be passing on the Xbox or PS4). I only get the consoles for the games, I don't buy them because of the company. I definitely think people end up preferring certain consoles at the end of a gen, but for me it's because of what games ended up coming out.

This won't do much for Korea at all. Hell China either unless MS can convince the pro circuit to jump ship from PC to console. And the pro circuit in those two countries for LoL is an entity within itself.

I think if I had less disposable income I would be more learning towards one system or another...most likely my PC actually. But, for now, luckily I have the option to play games not systems which, for better or worse, includes the PC. Which throws a couple bones into my plans as usual. Though I do admit, now that I think about it, I have no handhelds. So there is some kind of favoritism right there. I use my tablet for what I can.

Fuck 720p man. There is such a huge difference in Image Quality when you go from 720p vs. 1080p. That is a lot of pixels to push, but man does it look so much better.

Yeah, it's an uphill battle any way you put it, but making inroads with games like LoL is a step in the right direction. They're comparatively untapped markets when it comes to console gaming, especially China.
Maybe China will be always-online exclusive

Aside from new games, I'm excited about what MS will bring to the table with Xbox Live and its inevitable expansion.
One of the things I've been thinking about for a couple years that I could see happening is MS making Xbox Live Gold as it is today free and then creating an Xbox Live Platinum service. This could ensure everyone who owns an Xbox 720 can play multiplayer games online with the feature set aside from online gaming being the incentive to have a Platinum subscription.
