there is 12 gbs of ram in the new xbox.
to be precise, there is 4gb gddr5 on the gpu and 8 gb gddr5 on the 8 core ibm custom cpu.
the gpu is the first gcn 2.0 gpu produced and was designed by MS+IBM+AMD.
Eric from IBM will be a speaker on the 21st. gpu spec 4.9 tflops.
I know you all think I'm crazy but tuesday will go down in history as the biggest megaton dropped in gaming history.

We've already heard from Microsoft employees that the reveal is going to be hardware orientated, they might not go into the detail that Sony did but I'm pretty sure one way or another we are going to see specs on the reveal date.

I posted this before somewhere else I think but I think it's gonna go like this...

#XboxReveal: Vision, brand, some game demos (no tech demos, this is going on Spike, remember), entertainment service details, brief hardware summary, E3 teaser trailer.
E3: Games, world-premieres, exclusives, demos from devs, more details on entertainment services.
BUILD: Specs, deep dive on the guts of the system, SDK, apps/indie support, etc...
Gamescom: Launch plan, pricing, availability, and maybe a look at 2014's lineup.

Specs that look on par or better than Sony, sure (8 core CPU, 8 Beegees of ram, bluray). General specs that don't talk about 1.2tflops or how many CUs. They'll leave enough questions open to keep this place arguing for months

That's the part that has me intrigued. They already know what Sony showed. For them to focus their reveal on hardware is great news as it shows confidence and even hints some surprises. 2more-days.

lol@some of the mental gymnastics in this thread. Yes yes, 4.9TF the nextbox will be. Then again, can't blame the fans since similar stuff like this was occurring prior to PS4's reveal save the RAM side of things which most fans had begrudgingly accepted to be 4GB, albeit with some logical and more illogical justifications.

It'll be interesting see just how far off the mark the VGLeaks article was pertaining to the overall system power and more importantly what games they will be showing. And oh yea... Kinect.

It's probably gonna be Forza 5. I don't think we'll see it 'til E3, but we might see it on Tuesday, who knows. I think it's still too early for PGR 5, and as much as I want it to happen, I don't think it will. Certainly not by Lucid alone.

i dont get why that would be a bad thing

bad console hardware has been bogging down PC gaming for the past years. If anything good console hardware would be good for PC gaming since the lowest common denominator would be of a higher quality.

Why aren't PC Exclusives of that much higher quality then? I remember on the SNES and Dreamcast days, the PC/Arcade Titles where in a completely different realm of graphics. Why does Console gaming affects PC originals?
