Seriously where in the hell do they get these names from
If you look at the nicovideo I think it looks far smoother.

Can't believe that they even manage to replicate guilty gear's shitty animation.
You need a mix of both to create the illusion
Because he would get a sunburn in the wild west, if not?It looks so convincingly 2D in motion that I had to do a double take even after the first camera pan. They really nailed the shading and animation this time.
But why does Sol's shoulder look like he's put lotion on it before the fight?
Are you posting from some alternative universe? The animations are great and this is one of the best looking fighting games I've ever seen.
"The incredible animation is why the Naruto games look great. This just looks as crappy as the previous GGX games in motion."
The Naruto games do look amazing, but they're also not trying to be a 2D fighting game.

But it doesn't look or feels like spritework, that's the point.SF4 is a 2D fighting game and its animation is fantastic.

I liked the old ky design... The ponytail looks weird to me... But hey its just me.

When I said trying to be a 2D fighting game, I meant actually trying to sell the illusion of using sprites. SF4 doesn't do that either. SF4 also does have a different feel in motion than sprite based fighting games. Not bad, just different.

SF4 is also not even trying to pretend to look like 2D animation.
Yep SF4 looks nothing like this glad Arc System Works went this way .

For comparaison.
Part of it is due to the clothing I think. There is some bounce to it if you look at things like Ryu's gi, but Ibuki's pants actually had cloth fluidity in 3, while in 4 they look like they've been starched to complete stiffness. As smooth as SF4's animation is, it still feels too stiff and cardboard-boxy compared to Third Strike.
more than 14 characters in the first version please !
I can't be the only one who notices that Sol's weapon now looks like an effin' lighter:
This is actually the direction they wanted to go with guilty gear from the very beginning :lol

Oh wow it does. That's pretty cool actually.
They would never cut May, would they? They just can't!
No way. They'd cut characters like Kliff before May.They would never cut May, would they? They just can't!
Why would they?
They're working from scratch, so some characters will have to be left out at the first edition. Still, I think May has a secure spot, after all she's one of the top 10.

Zappa is probably one of the characters that will be dropped, I don't think he's that popular and he doesn't play much of a role in the story.
