Surface of Me
I'm not an NPC. And neither are we.
Someone post pics of FM2, so we can see what we started with last gen and compare it to what we are starting with this gen.
Lighting still faked too....

Starting with the April 1st leak, and heading into E3, the buildup to FM4 was, for me, one of the best ever. I remember trawling the interwebs daily, desperate for even the slightest tidbit. The fact that we'll be doing it all over again in a matter of weeks, and for a game launching on new hardware, no less, makes me slightly giddy.
Good time ahead, fellas.
Lighting still faked too....
...you do see the shadow itself cast on the side of the car where it's supposed to be, right?
Um, it's there...
Your arrows are hilarious and wrong.
Couldn't even make it 2 pages
SMH
Gotta love Forza fans
Forza 4: They need to add some race day atmosphere, its to sterile.
Forza 5: WTF is going on with all this atmosphere, that's not my Forza
Magical shadows coming from no where then?
(and no, I don't see it on the side, that's why I pointed it out)
FM3 had this glaring issue as well.
Watch it again.after watching a few more times I am calling BS on the video. My love of McLaren blinded me from using critical thinking.
The game won't look like that under gameplay conditions.
BIG pics incoming sorry...

You GOT to be kidding me, the game in those screens looks freaking gorgeous, do you guys need to nitpick everything?
Very underwhelmed. Good effort, but Driveclub visually looked miles ahead of this. This was the best thing they showed and it does not really look next gen. It's an improvement, but nowhere near a generational jump.
this and GT6 will be the last time these two franchises will technically comparable
Once PD switches fully to PS4 development....yikes

the pics look good but honestly the trailer looked like another 360 installment
Can't link to downloads created for your session.

Its a racing sim. we need gameplay footage.
Like I said above, there's clearly no physics or anything else at work here. It's a pre-baked video (that may or may not be actively rendered in-engine) so it's not being taxed in any way. Nothing (physics, effects, motion, AI, etc) is being actively rendered alongside it. It may as well be CG.after watching a few more times I am calling BS on the video. My love of McLaren blinded me from using critical thinking.

I think it's fair to say "in-game" refers to visuals being dynamically produced in real-time by the system. We've been informed that the visuals for the trailers fit this criteria.
These were showing off autovista mode, but real autovista mode didn't look as good (I wasn't able to find the real-time version showing inferior ground texture).
Very underwhelmed. Good effort, but Driveclub visually looked miles ahead of this.

Cars looked good. But the track looked empty and uninteresting.
Reminded me of Grid, seems Turn 10 has given up on trying to look as realistic as possible. Strange trailer, to feature only two cars. Looks good, though.
Sure but read what im saying, the game in those screens looks amazing, whatever is gameplay/realtime or not and this guy is already nitpicking those screens. To me those screens looks soo good yet he is looking for any minor detail to find a flaw.

Yep, they're real. Xbox boss Phil Spencer confirmed in an interview this afternoon that the footage you saw for Forza Motorsport 5 and Remedy's Quantum Break this morning are running on Xbox One dev kits. Not renders or some other trickery, you skeptics. I know some out there were questioning some of the screenshots and footage from this morning. Stop. They're the real deal
It looks great. But here is one thing.
If that lighting is prebaked, you know what that means?
There is no day night cycle, and "night races" (if they are confirmed) are preset.
