Still loving my Vita.

Love MGS3 - started playing it before bed last night and just wanted to get the Save codec.

It's like I had almost forgot the patented Kojima talk-a-thon. "But wait - there's more!"

Guacamelee has been the most fun 2D game I've played in ages. Buy it. Cherish it. 100% it. I think it plays much better on Vita.

since so many people are disappointed with XboxOne and the direction MS is taking it...i'm thinking more people will go PS4 which in turn... wait for it.... leads to more vita sales!!

One of the worst parts of the game.

Any opinions on Men's Room yet? Stinks I have to add $5 to buy it.

I just downloaded it and played it for about 10 minutes. It's a lot of fun and really charming. The music and the art style are pretty cool and the game actually seems to ramp up the challenge fairly quickly. I certainly don't regret spending that one measly dollar on the game. Clear recommendation from my side!

I had some real problems with it ... but you need to hide among the garbage. and use the time thingum to your benefit

R&C has a variable framerate, ranging from around 5-10fps to 45-60fps . Also seems to be sub-native res. I haven't tried multiplayer. It could be different.

Edit: It has an update which I did NOT use. That could change things.

No, I think it was a shared update with the PS3. Added a new level and a couple of other tweaks. Nothing Vita specific.

Damn, how jank is it? Was rather looking forward to another Ratchet and clank.

Also another recommendation for Mens Room Mayhem, fun little game, well worth the dollar.

Past that spaceship part at the beginning, the framerate seems to be closer to the 15-30fps range, but rarely seems to be at 30fps.

Also level of detail is reeeeally bad. You can see the detail coming in about 5 feet in front of Ratchet:

That point in front of Ratchet where the grass texture ends is pretty consistent with the distance in front of the character the detail pops in.

If I were to guess, I'd say they were probably hit with some major dev hurdles, i.e. the Insomniac engine not cooperating with the Vita or something.

No, it's an unknown dev called Tin Giant with some former Insomniac employees. And I guess the delays were because TG was having problems, and ultimately wasn't up to the task. At one point they just had to either cancel it or go f**k it and push it out there. Sony handing out Deadlocked/Gladiator as compensation to PS3 cross-buyers seems less like charitable action and more a necessity now.

Man, I'd take another delay if it improved the performance.

I'd guess Sony figures the game is as good as it's going to get without a complete overhaul. Inexperienced dev + heavily PS3 optimized engine probably didn't work out.

I suck at the platforming. The stuff where you have to switch between dimensions and have to time the jumps. I am horrible at it and I just wanted to destroy my Vita last night.

That's exactly where I was stuck too. What helped me was pressing jump + dimension switch at the same time, then uppercut.

Also, doing a headbutt in mid-air will delay your fall in case you mistimed your dimension switch.

They both play well on Vita. BB is easier and the better port though.

I think BB is easier to get into, though I wouldn't call it easy to be good. Looks and runs fantastic on Vita. Free next week on PS+ (US).

Oh lordie Dragons Crown cant come soon enough. Im getting a stomach ache from all this filler. The screens shown from that Jak n Daxter collection do not look that great also especially for HD remake on such a beautiful small screen. Currently GG has the best looking and probably the most complete console experience next to UGA. FFA should have not been released in its state, burn that shit with fire.
