What can Microsoft announce at E3 to turn it around?

1) Remove fees...

2) Don't block used games...

3) Don't be "always on" for playing...

4) Live for free...

And we're talking again...

They can announce no more DRM, reverse their shitty used game policy and don't have the fucking kinect camera/microphone running 24/7

Killer Instinct
A good Halo game
Conker's Bad Fur Day 2
Banjo Kazooie
Free Xbox Live (multiplayer)
Online is not required
Kinect is not required

Yea I'm dreaming, but whatever

Killer Instinct 3

Maybe a few other RARE classics brought back, some old Xbox series (Crimson Skies, Crackdown, Project Gotham), Alan Wake 2
If they announce this as a launch game. Day One.

But seriously Microsoft doesn't need to turn the Xbox around. Regardless of the lack of hype, it's still a great console. I honestly don't see why people won't be buying one. It's just a lot of hyperbole right now. Just announce great games for launch and that's it.

KI3 is the only exclusive game they could announce that could get me to buy one though. I'm more of a Playstation guy. The only exclusive game I play on my 360 is Gears and I play most my multi-plat games on PC if available or PS3 if not.

Maybe announcing a new console that doesn't suck.

DRM bullshit, TV bullshit, Kinect bullshit, and significantly weaker than PS4. Not BC so no incentive to go with Xbone to preserve existing extensive XBLA/Games on demand library.

I own 3 (working) X360s and have a library of close to 200 games across XBLA, Games on Demand and disc titles. I have a Live gold account. 360 was a great system. I loved the OG Xbox as well.

MS can't fix the Xbone. The concept is rotten to its core.

They can show as many awe-inspiring, pants pooping inducing games as they want. But it'll still be overshadowed by all the crap that's pissing us off right now (lack of games isn't even at the top of the list). They need to clarify what policies they're going to use, and stop dancing around the issues.

Amazing games
No stupid DRM
No blocking used games
Don't mention kinect at all

edit: make playing online free to everyone who buys an xbone no more silver/gold membership crap

Mistwalker game with a stable budget a good dev team
Banjo Kazooie 3
Fallout 4
Elder Scrolls 6
CDProjeck title
Alan Wake 2
Bioshock Underground/Moon/Mars
Grand Theft Auto 5, slightly less mouth breathing edition
Original titles by respected developers

Among the other concerns, proof that anything is better with Kinect.

I need someone with a vision to tell me how it will make games better, cause all its proved so far is that double fine is the best with it, and they took it as far as it can go.

That none of the anti consumer policies are going to be implemented.

There's no game they could show that would make me okay with those.

15 Exclusives?
Many of them Kinect BS?

King Kaz says:
Killzone: ShadowFall
Knack
DriveClub
TheWitness
Infamous3
Super Stardust
another Project from Super Stardust Studio
Blacklight: Retribution
Primal Carnage: Genesis
NaughtyDog Project
SantaMonica Project
ReadyAtDawn Project
MediaMolecule Project
Quantic Dream Project
Planetside 2
MLB:TheShow
Maybe GT6
Maybe TheLastGuardian
lol
Maybe Agent

Those are 19, and thats pre E3.

If you think about it, 15 Exclusives isn't that exciting. Especially after seeing their casual dudebro approach I wouldn't put to much hope in those titles.
It could be very good, but it could also be pretty disappointing.

Not to start anything but some of those games have been listed for like 6 years now I think. All xbox has to do is show games that are fun and look amazing and they can do both at E3.

Being able to play games offline indefinitely like it's always been.
Being able to sell, borrow and buy used games like it's always been.
Then a good amount of exclusive games.

I'm okay as they don't mess up with vaporware.

Myself is not easy pleased with many kind of games, my gamer sin list is very long and goes with many AAA titles that I haven't played just 'cause some BS wasn't interesting me enough. My tickets to gamer's hell are already certified, Microsoft can't do no harm at E3, or they get me pumped to day one purchase Xbox One or make me enjoy more games on X360.

edit: sorry double post :(

Primal Carnage sounds awful and isn't exclusive too (it got listed for pre purchase over some online stores).

What if Sony implements a similar drm?

They won't. Already said the console can work entirely offline if you want it to, they said they know that many people around the world don't have access to good internet or broadband.

But, in the hypothetical case they did. I wouldn't buy it either. The Wii U will end up being the only console I get from this gen in that case. Will have to make do with the existing PS3, 360, Wii U, and Wii library that I haven't gotten around to.

Just as I said in regards to the X1 in another post, the time that I may consider buying it is when it comes down to the $100-200 price range or earlier if they change their stance on the issues.

For the Xbox it's simple to fix, just stop with the discless operation and require the disc to be in the system in order to play a game like the 360 does even if it is fully installed to the harddrive.

Built in tuner with DVR functionality instead of that HDMI IN/IR blaster BS.
Rent for $25/month from all major cable companies which includes XBL Gold.
No upfront costs.

They're not removing anything, it's too late for that now.

They'll clarify all of the "anti-consumer" policies, and then they'll show a shit-ton of games.

I want a real rare game. that is my fantasy. I loved PDZ, kameo and BK N&B. I have hope Ryse will be a good game. Hope it's more than a hack n slash.

Turning things around....Gears and Halo are too soon. I think they need fresh IP's that impress. Rare games. Exclusives. A real KOTOR sequel would be sweet. New fallout. Exclusive next gen version of GTA.

Sadly a new Halo announcement and a great percentage of people will forget everything they've been complaining about for the previous 3 weeks. That's all it takes. I don't know why, but it is.

They need to show some groundbreaking new IP to turn it around.. No matter what, games sell consoles. I don't think sequels will do it though..

Remove any forms of DRM.

Launch cheaper than PS4.

Allow it to play used games.

Tons of QUALITY exclusives.

No mandatory Kinect?

XBox Live for free.

A substantial amount of games that people just can't live without.

There is not a game in exsistance I can say that I cant live without, so short of an almost 180° turn on their policies(that we know now) will change my mind. Ill watch the conference though and reserve final judement till then.

Cheap price and dont hide a bunch of features behind gold.

Also they better have MC extender support. Its the main use I get out of the x360.

Allow used games without fees
Remove tying disc games to accounts
Remove 24 hour checks
Remove need for Kinect to be connected for console to function
Stop lying to us
Some nice games
Good price

The only one of these that will happen is the "nice games" bit. But I need every single one of them to go ahead and buy this console. Sorry MS.

Scrapping their anti-consumer BS would be a start but I still don't think it'd do it. To be honest I don't think there's anything they could do to change my mind at this point. They've already eroded all of their good will by trying to ram this shit down our throats.

What is that third tile with the colorful landscape?

Looks like the Rare game may be the one with the "amazing water physics." I'm going to be kind of sour if we have 2 racing games at launch and no Killer Instinct or Banjo. EDIT: Oh gawd. It's going to be like Wii Sports Resort for Kinect. Fuck.
