Games. It's as simple as amazing games. My biggest problem with gaming as I'm transitioning into my 30's and approaching marriage and fatherhood is that more and more games I've played in the last 5 years just feel like rehashes of the same games I've played the past 20 years. Just with a fresh coat of paint.
I don't want more of the same. I'm sure a new DudeBro: Call of Dog will sell like hotcakes. Shit, I'll probably get it just to have something to play...but it's not that experience I've been looking for that made me get up early on Saturday mornings just to get more gaming hours in.
I haven't played many games in a long time that made me feel like that. Whichever console can offer me fun and amazing games that take gaming in the direction I like is the console that will get my money on day one.

They can show games which is the target E3 viewer demographic. However, PS4 will be showing a lot of games as well, so I'm not sure what they can do to put a leg up. Especially with Bungie officially revealing in length "Destiny" on Sony's platform.
Gonna be a great E3 for both I think. The console releases won't come down to who won E3, it'll be marketing.

The 360 is my favorite console ever, and I've been playing since the Atari days. But the One is leaving me sort of cold, which I never expected. I still believe MS can turn things around with a great E3. Personally, I would love to see what they can do with Halo on next gen, and a great Halo showing would really get me to believe again. Also, if the rumor about dedicated servers is true, that would also go along way.
So with hope, I created a GIF. What will it take to turn things around for you guys?

Nothing. Unless they don't use the DRM, or the serial keys for games. I can get over the atrocious look and build of the system, but some of the other stuff I won't. I really only like Fable as the first party ip, the rest I have no interest in.

Microsofts proven tactic, with XBL levels, MS points, hard drive system, etc, is to confuse and overwhelm the average consumer. The Xbone looks no different so far, as evinced by their inability to answer basic questions about the system. Once they start answering these questions I'll at least listen

The rumors in the press are that Microsoft is running behind on game software that will be ready for launch. The reveal on the 21st did nothing to dispel that rumor, as the only thing they showed were pre-rendered CG videos - no playable games.
If E3 is just more CG videos, then there is cause to worry. If Microsoft shows up with Forza 5, Quantum Break, Ryse, etc. all playable, then that will a good showing.

That's the reason I use a smartphone with an open OS - So I and others can check for possible violations of privacy in the software that runs the phone.
This won't be possible with the XBone for obvious reasons and therefore I do not trust it.
Obviously, some people will buy the thing after complaining and others won't. There's no way we will get an accurate report on what happened, so just be content know that of course you are right.
You can check for what ? What open OS do you use ? Andriod ? Because programs can be hidden in system processes to do whatever it wants and you wouldn't be the wiser.
All this hate just makes me laugh and worry about a lot of the posters on the forum .
As long as they have a required Kinect spying on me for the MPAA, online requirements, and locking games to a single console/account, no amount of games will get me to buy one these things.

When I played my 3DS I used to put tape over the cameras in case my actions were being recorded by Nintendo for their own arousal.

It doesn't matter what games are shown, if everything has DRM on it. It's all a farce. Any game you buy would be supporting this insidious business model. If PS4 implements the same stuff, then this gen is going to be PC only or PC + Wii U for me.
Don't worry, Nintendo doesn't know how to use the internet.

See where I am going with this. They can have anything running on your phone and you wouldn't even know it. But you still have one and you still use it because even though they could be taping you , it doesn't actually matter to you.
Today TMZ broke a story that the LA police were able to figure out who owned a red car by using a network of privately owned and run cameras that are plastered all over the city.

Only if the clarification is a reversal of our current beliefs. if they clarify by telling us how much we have to pay to activate an online game and how often we have to check in online just to play single player games, these things aren't going to help.
