Patrick tweeted-

Other GB crew haven't, but its a holiday so I don't imagine they will.

If this is the case, and this is what it has to be for the sake of having third parties on board then let Sony be up front and honest with gamers unlike Microsoft.

Sony has seen your #PS4NoDrM hashtag and took note. We now have absolutely no intention to release Dr Mario on PS4

LOL

EDIT: Oh this is a lot older. lol

Fuck off. If I bought it, its mine.

Wow at that Finland account. That's er, really someting. It's definitely official?

It might just be a mistake, they maybe don't know what retweeting it means? Lost in translation maybe?

Wonder if they will end up in hot water because of it, it's definitely the most concrete stance we have gotten so far

So don't let the "just be quiet until E3" people sway you. If you don't like something, say something. Twitter is amazing for being able to talk to people in these corporations. YOSP will even respond if it's about something he can talk about (he is currently not responding to ANY questions about Used game... but you can bet your ass he is reading them).

just cross posting this from the DRM on hold thread. Very good point. Keep it up! Spread the word.

I wonder if @yosp has taken notice of this yet? He still hasn't said anything but that doesn't mean he hasn't seen any of these tweets yet.

So just got on break for work. How's it going?

Well enough, plenty of positive/we're listening style comments from certain Sony employees, New articles, one on a Japanese site (esuteru? Someone posted it earlier) and on Eurogamer Portugal and other ones.

So yeah, as far as campaigns go, this is going pretty well.

I still have hope that Sony will make the decision of their lives and keep used games policy as it's now. They might lose some profits on the short term but it'll make them a whole generation dominant console.

I'm sure he's aware. Like others have said, this hashtag campaign will only stress the urgency of what they already know: gamers don't want DRM. Sony has seen the backlash against the Xbox One, and they're weighing their choices very carefully right now. If the money they'll lose over a DRM PR disaster is more than they'll make using DRM, then they won't go with it. This campaign is definitely helping to tip the scales.

Lol, I don't know dude. I wasn't being smug.

I thought you were for a second because there are devs out there on the business side of things that still understand consumers and appreciate them. Cliff, over the last few years, has taken to being rude to consumers and condescending. It's truly unbecoming.

I'm really glad this is gaining traction, however I will agree that had Sony decided on "not going with this" before this campaign has started, that publicly embracing the fans then announcing the plans they've already reached will score them major PR points for free. Honestly though, at this point into the game I think they deserve it.

Is it bias that I expect no less of Cliffy to be defending this? Considering how close Epic and Microsoft are.

He's not at Epic any more, but he appeared in the first 5 seconds of the Xbone conference, so... no, not at all. I'm not surprised either.

Things are generally legal until they're not. Still waiting for the court case that makes EULA's like that illegal in the USA.

I can only speak for Europe, of course. I really do hope the US legal system rules in favour of consumers, one day.

That's why I stopped following him on twitter. I got tired of his corporate shilling.

I think Sony is going to play it smart...which is: leave the choice to the publishers. if they want to put a paywall for their games (or one of...) they will be proposed a technical solution to be able to.

But the decision won't be on Sony...

That would force everyone take his responsabilities. No boycott for Sony, boycott for publishers who make the wrong choice.
Yep. You already know who the usual suspects will be too when it comes to DRM. I will just avoid their games. There will be plenty of them to choose from anyways.

But having this shit on a system level... ugh.. just fucking ugh

I posted this elsewhere, but I was entirely fine with "online passes". With EA dropping that, I have no problem with Sony and the PS4 requiring a "pre-owned" fee of $10 for people to access the games' online servers. All I care about is being able to take a game to a friends' place and enjoy some singleplayer. If said friend wants to play online or something, then by all means, he can pay $10 for that portion since he is technically accessing the devs servers.
