I think it was just a thread whining ban, shouldn't be too long.

My recent "meta thread analysis" ban was a MONTH long (even with no previous infractions of any kind). Hopefully Captain Smoker's is shorter than that.

(there's a joke in there somewhere about how the Wii U won't have any games released in most month-long spans anyway so who cares...)

EDIT: Ah nvm; he's already back! xD

OP you are missing a FAST Furious game I think came out this month

also Need For Speed Most Wanted U is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Lego Batman 2 is on the eShop?

WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN!?

first time I fired up my Wii U and went to eShop just to window shop since I am now saving for a new macbook pro since my keyboard is broken

so 5 months of not buying or downloading Wii U games.

I will finally be behind. weeeeeell not passing up W101 - Pikmin 3 - Rayman - Zelda Wind Waker but yeah 5 months of saving for macbook

did not think I would want Nintendo to slow down releases lol

see what you did Deux Ex being late when I expected you has my monies tied up

also goes to show how much games do sneak up on you on Wii U when you do not care about buying

Classic anime series is getting the video game treatment

We reported back in February that Neko Entertainment revealed during an interview that the studio was developing a new game for the Wii U, but no specific details were given on the subject.

The developer has announced that it's bringing The Mysterious Cities of Gold to the Wii U and 3DS this fall, which is being developed under the supervision of Web and Games producing company Flaoua.

Information is very scarce on the title, except that it's based on the Japanese-French anime of the same name, which debúted in Japan in 1982 and has recently been revived. You'll be able to switch between Esteban, Zia and Tao, the three heroes of the series.

We look forward to hearing more details on Neko Entertainment's new project. What are your thoughts on the news? Let us know in the comment section, and remind yourself of just how amazing the theme tune to this series is by watching the classic '80s intro below. Because we're good like that, we've also provided the intro to the brand-new series as well. Enjoy!

Thanks for keeping this thread updated, it's a seriously handy resource. Just received Resident Evil Revelations yesterday, aside from the lack of Wiimote aiming (and sticky analogue replacement) it's pretty good fun and runs nicely. Gamepad doesn't really do anything other than offer a map and host some touchscreen puzzles, but (so far) it seems worth a punt for anyone looking for a decent shooter for their Wii U. No idea where you're supposed to download the free DLC from though - I signed up to Resident Evil.net (you're given a prompt when firing up the game for the first time) and have looked through all the Raid Mode options, but no sign as of yet. Maybe it's US only?

Nice work @ Captain Smoker.

Btw what's up with eShop games? Upcoming as well as recommendations.
Don't know if I'll going to include them in this thread, because it's going to be too long and it's too much work at the current pace, sry. ^^

I would recommend this for the moment: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Wii_U_games

Doesn't look as fancy, but it has all informations.

Is there a DLC-link in the eShop?

Great job with the design. Even though I don't own a Wii U (yet) I really enjoy the layout you've developed and it seems like a great resource to reference.

Not gonna lie, been mulling making something similar for the PS4, but it's probably too early for that.

Ah ah yes, Les Cités d'Or is a famous Jp/Fr anime here - France - I was a fan in my teenage days and yes, there's some sort of revival lately (new anime serie, animated movie in the talk) but I've a feeling this game will not be something stellar.

I remember it being on Nickelodeon way back when I was a kid, such a random thing to revive.

Great OP as usual!
Just a tip: Mario&Sonic Sochi is a 2014 title, following the info we have up to now.
I also think that Wii Party U is still missing (should be a "2013" title as Fit U), together with Scribblenauts (both: Unlimited available everywhere but Europe...and Unmasked, for fall 2013)

As someone who recently purchased a Wii U, this thread depresses me. There's just not that much there. At least a lot of them are most likely to be high quality.

So Activision officially confirmed the existence of the PS4 version of CoD Ghosts, but still silence on the Wii U version, even though it's been heavily rumored with retailers and media outlets mentioning it here and there.

I'd still be surprised if it doesn't come, but now it's at least slightly more likely that's the case. A late announcement wouldn't really make a whole lot of sense (though they did it every time with the Wii versions).

The PS4 confirmation was delivered on twitter in response to a question: https://twitter.com/InfinityWard/status/337334973684129792

Maybe if somebody with a twitter account asked them, they'd respond. Though what could muddy the waters is the possibility that Infinity Ward isn't doing the Wii U version (they never worked on any of the Wii CoD games, even 'their own"; always were ported by Treyarch). In that case asking @CallOfDuty might be worthwhile too.

So anybody with a twitter account feel like taking a crack at it? I don't have one.

Is there a DLC-link in the eShop?

Thanks, found it now. Seems a bit complicated having to look on the game's eShop for DLC when it surely would've been simple enough to put some kind of link within the game. At the very least, you'd think Capcom would let you know that there's something available.

Love this thread, great layout in the first post.

Second, damn, I have alot of Wii U games pre-ordered. New Super Luigi U, Pikmin 3, Rayman Legends, The Wonderful 101, Lego Marvel Super Heroes, Skylanders Swap Force (this is specifically for the kid), Sonic Lost World, Scribblenauts unmasked. Considering there's mroe games to be confirmed - Mario, Zelda WW HD, Yarn Yoshi - that I'll be after, it really does feel like the Wii U is finally trucking along.

It may not have alot of the *core* games, but looking at that list, damn does this feel like what I imagined the future would be when I was 4, sitting with my Master System. I love this will be my kid's first console too, and that list of games will be his first real major memories of games he played.

Wii U has an amazing list of games coming in the second half of this year. It didn't start off so strong, but wow. I may be picking up some of the third-party games, too, like Watch_Dogs.

Hey Captain Smoker... if you ever get bored, you could make your game badges in the first post animated gifs :)

Leave top and bottom bars static (as part of the animated gif), but instead of the static game picture in the middle, it would be awsome if that part was animated. I think... or it least it looks awesome in my imagination :=)
