Well, maybe Harrison is in fact a Nintendo triple agent. His mission is destroying everything except for Nintendo.
 
I do believe they have something big. I could see them make a loss on each unit that Sony could only dream of. Knowing they lost the HW race, I could see them release a $250 console, because they can afford to lose billions, because it would secure them to win the war, and because they would then recoup in the long term.

-Kinect no more mandatory optional but comes with every box
-Reveal XNA 2.0

Killzone and infamous are not doing it for me.
Maybe with E3 sony will kill microsoft with releasing a new IP.
Wonder what a naughty dog Dark fantasy RPG would be like a sort of graphical power house but a less punishing version of dark souls. I think they have some nice tech going on in Last of Us to make convincing melee combat and impact.
 
hopefully its not just hubris thinking oh lets show some third party games that we will have timed exclusive content for. gamers arent fooled by this sort of thing.
 
Only realistic way to do this would be COD exclusive (and I'm not talking about timed map packs).

Microsoft are delusional.

GDDR5 unified vs ESRAM and DDR3
 
If MS does kill it this E3, it will be their first good E3 event in the last 3 years or so. I await with bated breath.

The war? The war is not about consoles sold. The war is about winning money. Is useless to win the war if you have lost 1 billion dollars at the end.

Of course you can loose some money for every console sold, but that have to be something very controlled.
 
Oh yes, bring it on! I want to see Microsoft and Sony get into a full-on bitch fight with plenty of scratching and hair-pulling.

In the grand scheme of things that won't matter to most people. It's the DRM and privacy issues that people care about.

You start talking teraflops to anyone but an enthusiast and their eyes start to glaze over.
 
Thats my hunch as well. I think MS will come out with exclusive games like Fallout 4, Titan, Halo 5 and ME2 that will steal the show for core and casual gamers. The problem with Sony is that they have to talk about the "boring aspects" of their console @ E3 and most of their standard game announcements won't pull as much hype as MS ones unfortunately.

I hope Sony can pull through.

Well, when all multiplats run better on PS4 i think some people will care... I know not everybody or MS would sell only units to the Halo and Gears fans.

I don't think there's any facts to back it up. It's just what people believe based on the fact that the 360's strongest market by far is the USA, it's doing terrible in Japan, and Sony is apparently on much firmer footing in Europe, although the Xbox 360 supposedly kicks ass in the UK, too. But even if the PS3 did surpass the 360 globally, it's a hollow victory at this point. The xbox brand's significantly enhanced mindshare and popularity has probably provided Microsoft about as much they could have hoped for and then some as far as the 360's success is concerned.

I don't know, they may have a resolution edge, or even a tangible visual edge, but the games themselves may not perform and look all that bad, if at all, on the One, which may essentially create a situation where it's mostly a wash to the larger gaming audience out there. Sure, we'll all look at digital foundry analysis' and we'll know what's what, but to many people if a game runs well enough and looks good enough on the One, they won't care about which console wins so long as the game is enjoyable and looks great. I don't see very many badly optimized titles on the One, because the one mistake that Sony made with the PS3 that Microsoft has not made with the One, is making a console that's extremely exotic and painstakingly difficult to code for. I've said this before and it's true, Xbox One is easier to develop for than even the 360. The fact that the PS4 is even easier to develop for is great for the PS4, but it will not hurt the One.

- All EA games exclusive for 6 months
- Exclusive GTA5 HD
- Xbone to feature PS EMP, a small charge that literally fries any Sony electronic within 20 feet
 
True third-party exclusive games would be quite difficult for Microsoft to obtain, given just how easy it would be to have working PS4 AND PC versions of practically all Xbox One games due to architectural similarities, so unless Microsoft went bat-crazy and spent all their money obtaining dozens of highly-anticipated third-party games as exclusives, I call BS on their claims.

Dont care im already over it next gen is like current gen 1.5 .
For performance i don't have to get excited.
When you can get for the same money a 4 Tflops card with like the 9xxx series releasing at the end of the year. Providing the console launch at $399.
Or if they launch at $499 you can probably get a 5Tflops card with 6gb of GDDR5 with more bandwidth.

If you're going next gen for performance you are doing it wrong. But but fixed hardware less overhead. PC also have a shitload stronger CPU that can mitigate some of the API overhead.

And there is no way yet how much impact a 32mb ESRAM cache has on system performance.
Best bet to benchmark that is intel's Haswell CPU with EDRAM. Where you can measure the performance of OpenCL with DDR3 vs Esram.

Major Japanese exclusives from Microsoft? Let's be a bit realistic here. The sum of these franchises won't even kill Nintendo (see: wii), much less Sony.

That was the second thread btw,there was another one before that but i think it was debunked at that time.
 
No one who is able to translate this? Google translate isn't that accurate. also i will refuse to support drm shit, but there still so many ignorant ms and sony haters out there. I dont get this super hardcore fanboyism from certain people out there. Just get the console and games you want instead of hating and being jealous.
