Something I like is that the matte portions are the portions that you'll have to touch to pick it up, and the gloss is the parts that are more for display.

These guys seem like they've done a good job, and it's a very good point that the box looks a lot like the metro design.

Hopefully what's in the box doesn't make their design process a pretty covering for a bad product.

I mean, of the three next gen consoles (wii u counts) this controller really seems to be the best. But it would be a real shame if the best controller was for the worst console of the three.

The design is much more sharp edged when you compare it to the 360 which had a lot of curves.

Personally, I think it's ugly and lackluster, the grills makes it look like a cheap DVR. I love the controller though. I hope they have a PC version in the works.

Honestly I could not care much less about the box shape. It sits in my cabinet, and if I'm rarely even opening it to put discs in after they're installed, then what does it matter? In fact, I'd rather it look simple and not so "console-like." I'm 31 and into high end tech (for instance, I own a Pioneer Kuro and Elite receiver) and they are piano black and very simple. I don't want something that looks like a toy. This looks like an HTPC case, and that's fine by me.

I think it looks decent. Not the best looking console and certainly not diminutive, but it won't offend my sensibilities to have it under my TV set or in my AV rack.
