Quantum Break is a new IP, and supposedly not in the launch window, so even Quantum Break, as exciting as that game made me, isn't one of the 8 new ip. Excited!!!!!

Did they say those new 8 IP/15 exclusives would be there at launch? Thought they said in the first year...
First year.
Thought so. They'd have to be pretty crazy/stupid to blow their entire load at launch.
That and they have 25+ Microsoft Studios working on games, so obviously some aren't going to be ready in time. Likely from their new studios.
Launch will have a metric shitton of games though, as there'll be third parties to throw in there too.
So out of the 15 you guys have 6 new IP's to see and 6 established franchises, for official announcement.
But we know of the 6 established Halo and Fable will be there. And we know roughly what the Rare one will be.
And out of the 6 still-to-be-officially-announced IP we have a fair bet that Titan is one.
Since the launch of Kinect, by my calculations they've gone from around 8 studios/teams to 28.
And out of the 6 still-to-be-officially-announced IP we have a fair bet that Titan is one.
Where are you guys getting these 25+ studios number from?

Pretty impressive for a company that doesn't care about games.
Consider also only 3-4 are working on Cloud/Kinect projects at present.
Titan won't be first party published, so no.
Wait, we know what the Rare game will be? When did tis happen? Is it Killer Instinct (3) like many people were hoping for? What info is there on this?
I remember people saying a few days/week(s) back that it was heavily hinted at being KI3, but I have no idea where they got that info from. Awesome if true though!
It's not been clarified whether they're first party or not.

Wikipedia its more like 20 though if you eliminate the few mobile studios
It's not been clarified whether they're first party or not. And if MGS is investing money into the development of Titan, it's the first case of 2nd Party developer we've had in years.
Go watch the conference again, 15 exclusive franchises. Nowhere was it specified that they're first party.
We don't know for sure, but it's most likely KI3. They ARE working on multiple projects though.
Surely all of them can't be working on xbone games.
Yeah I was thinking that as well.Surely all of them can't be working on xbone games.
Interesting!
Is there any reason why people think it's KI3 though? I mean I want it to be true as well, and it makes sense as it's a historic franchise, but I don't want to get burned.
They said a classic rare franchise revival at E3
Conker, perfect dark, banjo have all been revived
That leaves battle toads and killer instinct
Now watch it be ken griffey baseball
Interesting!

Okay well, an investment it takes to get a game exclusive means that Microsoft Game Studios is still bringing you an exclusive.
If you think they wouldn't count Titan, I think you'll be left in that first year saying "where's the 15th one?".
And does that really matter? It's still 15. Still 5 new IP to find out about. That's a fuckload.

So was that game we saw in the little tile on the games screen at the Xbox One event from their Kinect-focused game, or KI3? Because I remember trying to find something that would have like a bald dude in some sort of strange attire in a tropical land, but I couldn't really piece together anything. To be fair though, I never had a SNES. (I am a Genesis man.)

I'd take a rough guess that was Lionhead's game.
It didn't look tropical to me. But I know if you look at Lionhead they are hiring in an awful lot of not just MMO experience, but monetisation experience.
I am kind of thinking... The next Fable (or one of the next Fables) will be F2P.

its rc pro am!
I agree that it looked really Lionhead-y, but it had the Rare logo on it.
A cherished franchise slated for a historic revival narrows it down a bit, though Microsoft's insistence on winning the rights to the Killer Instinct name all but guarantee we'll see a third at some point.
I'd prefer Conker, Banjo, Perfect Dark or even Kameo, but there have been rumours of KI3 for some time and there's no smoke without fire. I think it's the safest bet.
I've been wondering if anyone has twitter, they could ask Phil Spencer or Larry Nelson whether we can expect PD, Conker, Banjo, to return in the future. I doubt he will give a straight forward yes or no, but he may tease.

They kinda look like wetsuits so it's probably Blood Wake.
Miles are you OK? Post if you're OK!
Can someone fill me in on Bloodwake? What is it?
