Sorry, but you're being ridiculous. I've been answering questions like 'what happened to Aryas direwolf' and 'who made up the Northern army', not paying attention doesn't make something a spoiler.

If you think this has a happy ending for you, you haven't been paying attention.

Don't worry Guys, I am sure Edmure is up to the task of taking revenge for the Starks......

...

:(

I assume he wasn't also killed off-screen.

Every time I consider becoming more active in this thread , or most GoT discussions online for that matter, I'm immediately reminded why I mostly avoid them. Book readers literally cannot help themselves it seems.

It's a shame because this is a perfect story to break down and theorize about.

I don't even know what to say after that...I'm completely stunned. I've never experienced anything quite like that from any other television show before. Well done.

Gotta explain it in simpler terms. Frey was pissed due to Rob back stabbing him, what does ugly or beautiful daughters have to do with that? I'm assuming the beautiful girl was just getting ready for the wedding, doesn't seem strange she was MIA for the apology,

Walder Frey had the Starks/Tullys by the balls, so he could've handed Edmure his ugliest daughter just to spite them for screwing him over the first time. The point was they should've been suspicious when Frey was willing to give Edmure his hottest daughter when he could've given him his ugliest daughter and Edmure wouldn't have been able to say shit about it.

"we'll let the wine run red, and put a few troubles to rest"

Not his exact quote but it was like that I think?

"The wine will flow red, the music will play loud, and we'll out this mess behind us."

In the same scene: "If you wanted to hide her, you shouldn't have brought her here."

For knowledgable people, this lines were super-creepy.

Bran's powers getting an insane buff was cool, but, like, the Starks now basically being an extinct house kinda cancels it out. Rickon has no-one to go to... and what, Arya and Clegane are gonna single-handedly overthrow Joffrey? As much as I love their dynamic, nah.

So many characters are totally aimless now. Where's Jon gonna go? I... god I'm glad there's another episode next week to help me contextualise what this all means going forward.

Unless next week is King's Landing centric, in which case booo.

I hope Bran Mind controls Ser Gregor or something into killing all the lannisters and the freys

Good riddance to spoiler people.

As a book reader (don't roll those eyes yet) I can't understand either the need to hint stuff or 'gloat'.

Reading a book is a solitary thing so I couldn't really share my feelings of this scene back in the day. Watching show watchers' reactions is like returning back in time and seeing that stuff with new, fresh eyes again. It's awesome but it all hinges on the fact that book readers just let people watch in peace.

Edmure Tully

His sister has been murdered, alongside his nephew and his wife. He is married to the daughter of the man who is responsible for this.

What do you think he is likely to do?

The most devastating thing was seeing Arya being carried away, after she came so close to being reunited with her mother and brother. I was waiting for that to happen all season. And then, they're dead. ;_;

I hope Bran Mind controls Ser Gregor or something into killing all the lannisters and the freys

I'm really eager to see what the extent of his powers truly are. We know he doesn't have been looking at a being to control it- but how close does he need to be?

Didn't they also play the Rains of Castamere during the credits of an episode in Season 2?

i think it was the blackwater episode

its the lannister theme tune, it will come on every time they crush their enemies

at this point the stark anthem might as well be a mashup of babies crying, wolves dying, horses being gutted, throats being slit.

I think GoT wants to you to have a love/hate relationship with all the characters.

Except Gilly, because she's awesome.

I get that feeling too which is nice because the turn with how I feel about Jaimie now is pretty interesting. I guess it's just because the Hound hasn't had a revelation in his character changing like Jaimie. It just makes me uneasy about him.

I still don't know if I'm supposed to like the Hound or not. He seems okay but then he acts like a shitbag.

Neither. He's a neutral in the conflict, seems to only care about money and fighting. However, he does seem to have empathy towards kids who have suffered and been abused.

This. I'm super spoiler-adverse myself, so I won;t even remark on show-only people's speculation even when it seems harmless-- I just act like those posts didn't happen. I don't come here for speculation, even other people's. No need to "correct" it or even enhance it with backstory.

Also, you should change your username to Littlefinger!

The wolf getting killed in the end was the worst part for me.

I was hoping/thinking he would bust out and tear some shit up. But he just died. :(

How's that for an anniversary, eh? Guess ol Edmure will never forget his anniversary date...'suppose Red will always be his favorite color.

Also, at this point, (assuming we "know" the story to be about ~7 tellings), we're half-way through telling #3, I'm guessing this "story" will ultimately be about the love child of Rickon and Osha and how with the help of the child of the Wizard Samwise Tarly, they reclaimed the north from the Lannister-Tyrell-Targarian triumvirate.

Also, seems like marrying (pairing) of family's is also intended to prevent revenge? I know the Lannisters wanted to lock up the north by marrying Sansa to Tyrion. But what about the Tully-Frey and Littlefinger-Lysa Aryn unions...does this somehow prevent them from avenging the Starks?

GRRM is a right bastard and master storyteller...my hat's off to you, you horrible sonofabitch!

You guys should probably watch Jamie's parting conversation with Roose again in "The Bear and the Maiden Fair", too.

Why didn't Frey showcase his hot daughter in season one when Robb made that promise? I doubt he would've broken that oath, especially when Cat came out and hinted that they were all ugly.

Remember last season when Joffrey ordered to kill those babies? Such sweet, innocent times.

Maybe something to do with his brother burning his face. BTW, was that mentioned before or did Arya just say it?

Was thinking same thing. Probably to test Robb's loyalty.

The Starks were all within reach of each other (except Sansa) last night. Bran, Rickon and Jon. Cat, Robb and Arya. So sad :(

So sadistic. GRRM is a mad man.
