Ahh really starting to feel the hype again. Been a member here for a few years haven't posted much in the last few years, but the new Xbox really getting me hyped up. I can't wait to see respawns game and black tusks IPs. I always love me some halo but my CoD drive keeps dropping with each and every installment. I want a new fresh shooter to blow me away.

Yeah, which makes me hopeful for Black Tusk's thing. Sounds somewhat intriguing.


Of course, I'm completely alone when I say a game I want to see would be Viva Pinata 3. At least, enough alone that Microsoft doesn't think it will be profitable. :'( Oh well, maybe one of the 15 exclusives will keep me busy.

Don't count on it...

Class 3 isn't out until Wednesday. A large amount of their resources will then move to either post-release support (I haven't heard anything about DLC, but it's possible) or to the PC port. At this point, it's probably a very small core team who has started thinking about Class 4.

They've also said they're going to design Class 4 around what works and what doesn't with Class 3. They'll need a few months to really understand what works/doesn't with the game.

If I had to guess, we probably won't see Class 4 until E3 2015 at the earliest. Considering the scope they want to hit for the game (MMO-esque), it wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't until E3 2016 until they're ready to show, and hopefully release the same year! The wait has been painfully long for Class 3 (I first heard about it in 2010 when they started recruiting).

I see, I thought they were being developed in tandem.

Well a good deal of work went into the engine and some of that will roll into the newer one. They are small but not the entire team will be working on the DLC, some will be working on the PC and at the same time they will be fitting the engine for the sequel-MMO AND next gen. Iced is right that there rollout was VERY slow but I personally wouldn't count them out for a far quicker turn around as they have been talking about how they have been laying the groundwork for all of it at the same time. Good sales will drive more cash which will also grease the wheels a bit.
So buy the game people!
