Game of the generation? Game of the generation.
Waiting for Jim Sterling to give it a 2 out of 10 because the game is trying too hard to be a movie

It's a screengrab from a Sony Europe YouTube pre-roll ad, they're clearly booked across all GameSpot's YouTube content. Note, I'm viewing from the UK. As YT pre-roll is geotargeted, you might not get the same ad from the US.

Now do me a favour back, and go play Metro: Last Light. I reckon you have just enough time before The Last of Us comes out...
umm... oh. well.
I sure hope not.
Well, since the current gen has started, it kind of has been yeah.10/10 from edge is as meaningless as a 40/40 from famitsu confirmed.

SS wasn't very good, let alone a ten, I'm skeptical.
But Skyward Sword was one of the worst Zelda's in years....
What an odd thing to say...
Different games. I guess TLoU has more originality which they prefer.Let this sink in for a while GAF:
Uncharted 2 9/10 from EDGE.
The Last of Us Perfect 10/10!!!
The gameplay seems great on the face of it, very dynamic, it allows for much more freedom in instances than most games, it has a focus on resource scavenging and management. It's not just a serious skin on Uncharted.I know, but read my follow-up post.

10/10 from Edge huh? Can't wait for all the gaf threads saying that the game really isn't as good as the press makes it out to be.
They gave Uncharted 3 a 9/10.
Resident Evil 4, which came second in Edge Presents The 100 Best Videogames, originally obtained a nine, but according to the 100 Best Videogames issue, it came "as near as dammit to the sixth (at the time) Edge ten".
Don't get me wrong, the game seems fine, I just don't see how the gameplay is something that can and should stand as the best of the generation.
Of course, I personally don't care about the cinematic aspirations of many modern games.
