It's just bullshit.

There score stands out like a shit stain on the mona lisa.

It's obvious they scored it low for hits, and there going to get them.

Once again, fuck them. Hope they get black listed on GAF, and on Metacritic.

Awwww.. <3 <3 <3

Love it!

Jesus f'-ing christ guys. What is this? a Kindergarten?

Stopping focusing on Polygon and let em have it. There are tons of other sites reporting reviews.

Look for the hay stack not the needle.

So pointing out what a joke Polygon are is what constitutes a "meltdown" on GAF these days is it? Boy, feels like only a couple of months ago Sim City was "reviewed" by them... oh wait...

I guess this makes Naughty Dog the studio with the most consistent high-quality output this gen. Whether it'll end up being the highest rated I don't know, Super Mario Galaxy got similar reviews, but it does end this generation on a very high note. Haven't played it yet though, but it already looks more interesting to me than Uncharted.

Polygon review is sticking out like a sore thumb. While it is a single opinion you do have to wonder why it is so out of whack from the general thinking.

Still as we all expected the game is reviewing brilliantly.

All things considered this is a pretty big indictment of the game:

Super disappointing if there's actually no way to avoid those encounters. Still want to see for myself, though.

Some of them can't be avoided as they are thrown at you and thus have already seen you when you get control of the action.

Most times enemies haven't and you can decide how to approach the situations but there are those forced scenes too.

Lord, this is gonna be a repeat of the U3 thread isn it?

Jesus Christ.
Did you skip the part where I said I don't care? I really don't. I'm genuinely intrigued by the claims of their sponsorship is all. I have no idea who most of these sites are beccause I don't give a shit. I'm here for the reactions. Latching onto an innocent question and thinking it's me worried about ND is more fanatical than my post.

Polygon review is sticking out like a sore thumb.

"Shit stain on the Mona Lisa"!

Either a meltdown or a truly inspired fake one.

Many people are going to quote other people who are beeing sarcastic, stirring shit or just trolling for fun. There is a crazy bunch who really rages about some scores but it will be overblown like they are the majority.

Congrats to ND and congrats to Polygon getting the most hits :)

Some of the encounters are mandatory, there's no way around them.

17 - 19 hours sounds too long. Hope the underlying gameplay, scenarios, and encounter design can actually support that.

For me I was engaged and enjoyed the sandboxes for most of the game. It felt tedious during the last two hours or so, but otherwise they manage to make it feel fun (or at least, I made it fun for myself by using the tactics I did)

9 from Gamekult. Extremely rare coming from them:

http://www.gamekult.com/jeux/test-the-last-of-us-J113236t.html#ps3

+ The most beautiful game of this generation
+ Strong characters
+ Mature and ruthless story
+ Well balanced action/infiltration/survival cocktail
+ Incredible aural aspect
+ Good length, New Game+, Multiplayer

- A few incoherences in AI during fights
- A second-class bad guy a bit rubbish

why is it so extremely rare? please explain

The old glenn beck "IM NOT SAYING ITS THIS <wild conspiracy> IM JUST ASKING QUESTIONS"

Hey, why is everyone so suspicious of the 7s and 8s when the streak of 10s is far more statistically improbable? Maybe all those sites should be ridiculed and banned, instead.

When so many people manage to "share" the same opinion, people with differing opinions are more interesting. It's very hard to take seriously the people giving any game a perfect score. When you have a chorus of people doing it my assumption is "well they're buying in to the hype". Because no game can ever be as universally loved.

All these 10s feel like depressed video game writers desperately wanting to champion the "elevation" of their hobby, sadly for people who like games elevating them seems to involve turning them in to crappy movies.

Because reviews are coming in really fast?

You cant get to all them in a timely matter

Yep adding them in now, didn't realise embargo was lifted so short ago.

Game is looking good so far, also I'm not sure about everyone else here but I'm a lot more interested in reading the non-perfect review scores and seeing what criticisms people have. (Though some of Polygon's criticisms were very stupid.)
