THIS REALLY PISSES ME OFF. Even though it shouldn't. I don't care that tLoU didn't score higher than GTA IV, but the fact that Uncharted 2, Bioshock, Batman Arkham Asylum, Mario Galaxy are in it's shadow is A FUCKING TRAVESTY. GTA IV is pure SHIT.

Like someone else mentioned, I had a fleeting interest in this before today (UC is good, but...ehh...i didn't go nuts over it). This universal acclaim has swayed me, though. I'll give credit (and money) where its due.

I doubt its better than Infinite but if it is then holy shit.

Yeah, I'm buying this game even though I'm not really the biggest Uncharted fan either. This one looks better anyway.

Seems about right for something compared to Citizen Cane (which didn't win the Oscar for Best Picture). Too bad, though I have not played TLoU, I was hoping something would knock off the over-rated (Metacritic wise) GTA V.

Maybe in their collective shame, sites are handing out these 10's to somehow erase their mistake and make people forget. Ya, it's probably that.

Jim Sterling hasn't finished writing his review, also when that was posted, I am pretty sure Polygon hadn't decided on the score yet either. I hope the Naughty Dog faithful don't turn this game's review score into a us versus them scenario. I love Naughty Dog's games and hold them on a pedestal, but I surely don't expect glowing reviews from people who tend to hate their narrative style or gameplay quirks.

A 10 out of 10 from EDGE is all the reviewing I need.

Yep, I am not even saying that the game necessarily deserves all those 10's. Maybe its just a 9 or 8 for me personally after I played it, but all that stuff that added up for Polygon is just too much to take anything by them seriously anymore.

Agreed. It could also just be a thing where, the industry in general is way too over zealous. Way too quick to give something a really high score. It happens. I just don't think that the high scores are a result of them stroking the publisher/devs as someone suggested a couple pages back. When sites DO publish scores just for the sake of getting hits/reactions, it's usually either really high or low, and deviates from the rest. No point giving a game a 10/10 if EVERYONE gave it a 10/10. If everyone gave it a 7/10 then a 10/10 would make some waves. etc. etc.

It's possible that Polygon just didn't like it. And that's fine too. But again, I think it just comes down to reputation and whether you trust the site or not. I accept that some people would be upset at a 7/10 regardless of the site. My main point really, is that not every person on here is getting upset about the 7/10. Just that, we don't trust Polgygon and are skeptical abut the review.
