Oh please. These change on a daily basis.
Tis may be true for other sites but Polygon has a grip on this spot for a long time now. ;-)

That story isn't quite so cut and dry: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=495020Edge gave GTA 4 a 10.
True, true. But...I can't believe people STILL get all angry at "low" scoring reviews.
I mean really, it's like self parody at this point.
The funny thing about Polygon was that Gies was feeding a bunch of negative hyperbole to someone I know before the review embargo dropped. I had a feeling their score would be lower after that.
I'm sorry, but I don't know ANY gaming review outlet that could be considered "credible" review outlets. You could find some shady shit that all of them have done before and/or games they have vastly overrated if you really looked into it.
For example, let us take away the Polygon review. Let us say they did in fact give the game a 10. Where would all the focus be? On Gamespot. And we would have the same exact posts except with "Polygon" replaced by "Gamespot" and some added complaints involving Jeff Gerstmann, Kane & Lynch, 8.8 Twilight Princess, and whatever "mediocre" games they gave a 8 or above.
Wow, that's awful. Sorry for you. One more reason to blackout this thing.Went to the Wikipedia page to look up release date info and glanced at the summary text.
Got the plot spoiled in the first sentence (i think).
Don't go to the wikipedia page people.
Gamepsot and polygon had to go and ruin it didn't they?
Seems that today an Italian website broke the embargo, coming out with this:

They retired the review, then some hours later...

I don't know if it's true or fake, but in the first case I would not surprised: most of the videogame 'journalists' in my country are monkeys without ethics and guts. And people like this deserve 365 days per year of shitstorm.
That or buy a PS3.
sounds amazing.Sure. Not enough time with multiplayer and big restrictions on footage as well to cobble a full review. Also, 'cause you know we want to spoil it when you find out the whole game takes place in the matrix.
More seriously, it's an amazing game that's more so more not being an overly innovative one. Naughty Dog has often been good at refinement, but here the various systems are familiar but chord into an interesting way, with expert pacing, characters and scenarios that stay fresh throughout.
I get echoes of Half-Life 2 from the linear-but-wide level structure, and world building. It's not perfect and I don't really believe a 10 means perfection either. I also get echoes of when I played Half-Life 1 with it's slow, blurring lead in. I had read the hype back in 1998 and was wondering when the game was going to get good, and hours in, I realized it had been amazing the whole time. In the same way, TLOU doesn't really start until 2 hours in, but that's not because of cutscenes and tutorials, it's just good storytelling, game design, and hard-won marriage between the two.
That seems to be the one.
Yes it's in their pros & cons on the last page
So tomorrow means today? They officially posted the multiplayer reveal today on the PS Blog, is that it?![]()
Edit: They've said that yesterday, did they mean the review embargo?
OK. What about these reviews from Phil?
Prototype 2 - 7.0
Pilotwings Resort - 7.25
Yakuza: Dead Souls - 7.75
DmC: Devil May Cry - 8
Metro 2033 9.0
Kirby's Epic Yarn - 9.5
PS4 version right?.![]()

Or buy a PS3? It's not like the PS4 is BC, so there's no overlap.
And get Demon's Souls while you're at it.
They have the right to post whatever score they want.
NeoGAF and /v/ both collectively share a healthy distrust of "games journalism" so seeing a deluge 10/10 get met with skepticism seems par for the course.
Planetside 2PS4 version right?.
I could play Dk Souls on my 360...
I'll take the chance this comes out on PS4 later. I'm not dropping £160 bones on a PS3 for 1 game.
That sure is something lol.OK. What about these reviews from Phil?

Pretty sure they got like a quarter million just as they were starting. Don't really need proof because eventually they admitted it.Is there even proof that Polygon gets money from MS?![]()
That's the point.I'm guessing Polygon got more comments on their review page than most of the reviews listed on Metacritic even got views... :/

The problem I see with most of these reviews is that they don't praise the game mechanics beyond a simple "they work AMAZINGLY". It seems like a game with a strong initial playthrough, but if those game mechanics aren't enjoyable by themselves, it won't have a ton of replay value, like the uncharted games.
Apparently Aftonbladet means "The Evening Sheet".
MORE LIKE THE EVENING SHIT.

I am lazy and have to leave soon...what are the few low scores disliking about the game...Difficulty I bet...?

That sure is something lol.
GameSpot's 8 sits fine with me. Polygon just keeps making it more and more apparent that there's something going on behind the curtain to me.
