IIRC he said before E3.Didn't major nelson say he would have some answers for us really soon? When is "soon"?
Yep, I'll add to the websites when you're done.
Thank God this is being done.
It worked to stop the paid DLC when it was first announced.
It worked to stop the waggle adoption movement.
It worked to stop the Online Pass movement.
It worked to make Sim City go from online to offline.
It....wait a minute.....ah shucks.
Oh well.
Thank God this is being done.

And thank you for donating your share of the server bandwidth for E3.
I say go for it, it can't hurt. We should contact anyone and everyone who can help spread the word.Did my part, hope we get some good news come E3, although with MS deciding to move to one on one interviews, it seems they might not be so willing to change course at this point. A damn shame, but there's not much that can be done. Let's just hope it works out for the best.
Speaking of, I was talking to a mate this morning and he suggested perhaps emailing Watchdog (UK consumer rights show)...any interest?
Thought I'd throw his suggestion out there.
Not a bad idea, they are normally all over shit like this. I vaguely remember them doing a piece on the Dreamcast back in '99 - I think it launched with Internet access issues or something like that they didn't inform users of.Did my part, hope we get some good news come E3, although with MS deciding to move to one on one interviews, it seems they might not be so willing to change course at this point. There's still hope for MS, them cancelling the Q&A could mean they don't have anything finalized - good news for us, tepid though it may be.

I think this is coming along nicely and we shouldn't get too worried about the numbers because, as I mentioned on my podcast... and as much as it pains me to say it... critics like Total Biscuit are right. The hashtag itself isn't going to do anything.
But what he is missing and what i think has made this insanely successful is that our initial push happened naturally and wasn't about the hashtag... it was about gamers talking directly to execs and explaining, politely, why they don't think DRM is a good idea. It was immediate and it was personal. I think that helped much more than saying "we had 20k hashtags" or whatever.
The other end of it is that the posts did gain quite a bit of media attention. And by quite a bit I mean HOLY SHIT CAN YOU BELIEVE HOW MUCH MEDIA ATTENTION WE GOT!?!? The media attention is what is most likely to change Sony or MS's mind - for better or worse. We succeeded magnificently at that. And thank you very much to any journos who may be watching this thread.
And this, today, is just a reminder. A personal reminder with personal messages to actual human beings that we still know what we want and why we want it. If the decision wasn't made up a couple weeks ago it almost certainly is by now, but it didn't hurt to give this another push.
I'm not typing this as acceptance of defeat today. The numbers today are exactly where I thought they would be... much, much higher than the last 5 or so days but a bit lower than the peaks of day one. Looking at the stream right now it looks like we are pushing about 3 tweets a minute. Sections of the US are at lunch, a lot of europe is traveling home or eating dinner. There's lulls. But even if there wasn't ever another #PS4NoDRM tweet again I think we more than accomplished our goals. The ball is in MS and Sony's court and they can't claim ignorance to what their fans want.
But we aren't yet finished with today. We had a strong morning but lets get one more big push over the next few hours.

Good point. They normally only deal with things people have bought, probably best not to bother right now.I'm wondering, would they take up the cause considering there's no actual product for sale yet. I think it's a good idea, but I'm not sure if emailing now would have the same effect as emailing them when the product is on shelves and a lot of people are complaining about the same issues.
If anyone wants to do it, please post heer and we'll arrange some sort of mass email to them. That should show there's serious concern about MS' anti consumer practices.
Wow, fuck this guy!

He's Activision's goddamn community manager. WTF is the point of his job if not to act as the liaison between the parent corporation and the end consumer?

But that means he has to do MORE stuff than just Tweet about COD.
Actually, I don't follow the guy so I don't know if he only tweets about COD
