Do people really expect more big 1st party game announcements ? There's so much to look forward to already. The Fall release schedule is gonna be crowded with games plus some games out in early 2014 and beyond. Sure, we know about them, but most of the Wii U titles in particular, we haven't seen how they look or play like. We pretty much had a mini E3s for Wii U and 3DS earlier this year in terms of new game announcements.
Because Nintendo Direct is unpredictable.

You're reasons are sound and very logical, but we all know that Nintendo is the master of non-sensical things as well. Last year their E3 presser was pretty barebones on new and exciting anouncements, but at the same time they wait until after the show to introduce The Wonderful 101. A few months later they casually drop the news in a Direct again that Bandai-Namco is handeling Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U. Meanwhile, during the Direct broadcast detailing Wii U launch details, they throw in Bayonetta 2 as a Wii U exclusive. In January they show a Wii U Direct and while everyone didn't expect a lot of good news, they gave us pre-announcements regarding Mario Kart, 3D Mario, Smash Bros., Wind Waker HD, Yarn Yoshi, SMT x Fire Emblem and X.

Oh and Iwata mentioned on a later date they have more unannounced games coming this year.

I'm not expecting crazy stuff and Nintendo blowing out everything they've got, but I do keep in mind that Nintendo always has some sort of surprise up their sleeves.

Buddy, if awesome Star Fox games is the WORST case scenario, I don't wanna live in your world
Peer at IGN recently clarified his "new brand" comments and specified the rumors he's heard about Retro's game indicates a new IP. So, perhaps it looks a little less likely they'd be working on Star Fox or any other Nintendo franchise.

That aside, the rest of your predictions (fantasy?) are certainly within the realm of possibility. Personally, I'd hope that with them wanting to regain momentum, they'd at least give Bayo2 a full-fledged trailer. After all, they had a teaser trailer last fall, and a behind-the-scenes dev teaser in January. But who knows...

Why do people keep thinking Zelda Wii-U is showing up at E3 this year

I don't think we'll see anything physical, but I don't think it's too out of the question to expect them to discuss the game considering they talked about it a few months ago during their last Wii U-heavy Direct.

Thanks :)
Reggie will just avoid answering or downplay the tough questions like he always does. He'll especially do it for Wii U because its performance in 2013 has been so pathetic, there's no way for him to make Nintendo look good by being honest about the situation. Nothing important comes out of those interviews unless there's a game announcement to go along with it like at last year's E3. Reggie will just discuss the big games coming out because that's gonna determine Wii U's future. If Geoff brings up the past, then Reggie will have a look on his face like he'll want to knock Geoff's head off.

Yeah you're more than likely right, I still enjoy it for what it is though. I'll look forward to see how he spins and dodges Wii U questions.

I hope we see at least ONE obscure Nintendo character make the leap to 3D.

FOR EXAMPLE:

Seriously, if Chargin' Chuck shows up in one of the new Mario games, I will cry cum. Just like when Reznor was unveiled for NSMB2.

If you take off dem nostalgia goggles, you will see that in this very world, shitty space furries should stay in the 90s and if one of the most appreciated Nintendo studios is wasted to make a game with those, it is indeed a bad thing.

If they want to build upon the gameplay (which has been bad in the past entries too), they better take Kid Icarus, Sin & Punishment or something new entirely.

Iwata: Bayonetta: Climax Edition includes full fledge Bayonetta 2 trailer, to be released at the same time as the Wonderful 101 demo.

What about that new Miyamoto IP? He already started working on that project, right? Or will he begin working on it once the new building in Kyoto is finished?

Go home, Spieler. You're drunk.

I'm with you on that, man. Nostalgia is a hell of a thing.

The cum coming out your eyes sounds painful as fuck though.

They only did that for Skyward Sword. And the game ended up looking nothing like it.

I don't remember about Twilight Princess, but I'm pretty sure they showed art for Wind Waker. Of course, that was before the true art style was revealed.

Skyward Sword's concept art didn't look exactly the same as the final product, but we got to see Fi, which was enough to get people speculating about the Master Sword being personified in the game.

New Zelda Wii U at E3 this year won't happen and I want an apology from every single one of you that thinks it will when it won't.

I've only been studying web design and development for a few weeks, but I'm confident I can make a better website than the one Retro currently has.

HMU Retro.

Anyone else scared that Nintendo isn't leaking anything because they got nothing? (like e3 2012)
Maybe. Then again, Nintendo shit simply doesn't leak in the first place. X didn't leak. SMT x FE didn't leak. Neither Platinum game leaked. Nintendo is the undisputed master of keeping secrets, well, secret. With them, the one thing you can be sure about is that the absence of information isn't prove that there is no information.

Tell me about it. I visit Retro Studios' webpage frequently and the poorly compressed JPEG renders of Donkey Kong irritates me greatly. Hopefully they get around to making something better once their project has been unveiled.
