"Give your games to friends: Xbox One is designed so game publishers can enable you to give your disc-based games to your friends. There are no fees charged as part of these transfers. There are two requirements: you can only give them to people who have been on your friends list for at least 30 days and each game can only be given once."

That's really not a bad solution at all.

Anyway, I hope FordGT is doing OK. I don't know why anybody gets their panties in a wad about these. If the first post in a thread is "LOL Xbone" I don't even bother to read the thread. From the influx of juniors, its clear there are some folks who are here just to cause trouble. Also, use the ignore list generously, its there for a reason and why I haven't read a Takuya post in weeks.

The 24 hour check-in is lame, but expected because of the used-game stuff. The ability to swap games with friends is very intriguing. I'm still a little confused about some aspects of all this, but some of it sounds interesting.

EDIT: Ah man FordGT....him and abadguy both got banned today. It's a shame they won't be around during E3.

This part is interesting:

After signing in and installing, you can play any of your games from any Xbox One because a digital copy of your game is stored on your console and in the cloud. So, for example, while you are logged in at your friend’s house, you can play your games.

I wonder if that means you can actually stream your purchased games from the cloud, or if it just means they're stored in the cloud so you can easily re-download them?

The latter.

The leaked roadmap didn't have cloud streaming until 2015, I think.

Have MS actually said if you can play while a game is installing or downloading?

It's best to avoid those threads for now. Too many people very hot and excited about everything. It's easy to get caught up in it all. I've been trying to just avoid any of the larger threads, and stick to game specific stuff.

On a related (to the thread) note, I can't wait to see the Summer of Arcade line-up they have planned for the 360, and I'm really curious to see what new Xbox One game they have to show off.

Yeah I guess it means that if you log in to another console, your games library will be available to download/play. I don't think Microsoft has a games streaming service ready.

Let us all take time to salute and pour a little liquor for Ford GT Bros. The Hype Train was AMAZING! You will not be forgotten.

It means you can start your 20GB DL and then play it when it's done. Just like Steam. You know what would be even better? Carrying the disc to your friends house and playing without the 4 hour DL and being able to let him get achievements on his account.

You can.

Can anyone explain these policies to a laymen?

So I can lend a game (digitally) to a friend of my choosing, as long as I have had him or her on my friends list for 30 days, correct? After that though, it can't be given away again.

Also, how does gold and user licenses work for people on the same One? It says up to 10 other people can use all the stuff I buy right? I wonder if they'll do anything for households/apartments with multiple Xbox Ones?

For me this was the part i found most inetersting:

•Give your family access to your entire games library anytime, anywhere: Xbox One will enable new forms of access for families. Up to ten members of your family can log in and play from your shared games library on any Xbox One.

So, me and my brothers all have a XBO, i buy a game and install it and share it, that means that my brothers can play that same game in their own XBO on their own home?

AWESOME!!

You can GIVE the game disc not lend to anyone on your Friends list for more than 30 days, and after that it can not be given again

Up to 10 people you choose can play your library of games anytime anywhere on any XB One. (Connected to internet of course)

Wait for the catch, which will inevitably be that all the Xbox1's sharing the library have to be on the same network. Sorry to be a pessimist, but I don't see them letting 10 people essentially share games unless they're in the same home. It's called Family Plan for a reason.

- Internet required each 24hrs
- You can share your game library with all consoles inside your house (same network)
- You can share your game library up to 10 family members on any console (even in another house)
- All your game library on the cloud
- You can transfer the game licence only 1 time
- Second hand games with selected retailers.

Seriously? Now I feel bad, I saw him going all out and I was tempted to pm him to take a break.

That sucks though.

*Choo Choo* you will be here with us in spirit

Yeah, i expect a catch to that ;). It just sounded too good.

Okay, now those two are a lot better than what I thought. That's awesome for people who have multiple consoles in the same house/apartment.

At the same time? I somehow doubt that...

You can share your game library to everyone on the same network (not limited), and up to 10 members on any console.

How would they know who is in your family though?

Perfect.

Classic!

Yeah. If someone knows him personally I would love to hear some 'Ford GT: From beyond the grave thoughts of E3' next week.

Either way the Bros who made the train should take a little time quickly show their respect to show our appreciation for the H-train movement.

Trade-ins are up to the publisher?

Ughh that is exactly what Sony has been saying all along.

MS just got ahead of the policy big time.

Considering I haven't cared about online since never this has just answered my issues. Borrowing games from friends was my only real concern.

But you can only give it to a person one time. That seems to be incredibly less intriguing than the way games work now. Just my humble opinion.

I don't usually give my games to people anyways.

Actually, it's a lot more intriguing if you buy mostly everything digitally and/or your friend doesn't actually live by you.

(Also, intriguing doesn't necessarily indicate a positive feeling towards something.)

They still have a lot to clarify. It says family members can be playing from the same shared games list, but doesn't say that they can be playing the same game at the same time. If that is allowed, it would mean you and your wife, kid whatever would only need one copy of Halo to play Halo multiplayer together. Lots of lost sales there if true.

So has MS even announced a time for this thing? I'm guessing mid afternoon? I mean...it's kind of cutting it close, ya think.
