Getting close:

I guarantee I can predict what the threads will look like:

Thread: XBOX MEGATON
Reply #1: Do not want, Kinect lol

Rinse and repeat. Well, thread quality doesn't mean much in the big scheme of things. As somebody who is working Monday, I'm only probably going to read this thread and the spoiler-free thread.

At least The One will have games.

Right, guys? Guys?

I would love to be in the chat but I'll be at work :(

I think Crackdown 3 would be on the top of my wanted list. I just want a full update this time.

Speaking of Crackdown, anyone know where I could get sounds from the game to use for alerts on my phone?

Is this going to be the E3 Thread? Because from the looks of it we're not anywhere close to max posts
I don't think there is nearly enough interest (well positive interest) in the system to generate a max posts level. Although I suspect during the conference the thread will get over-ran with people mocking the proceedings.

So far from external publishing we know Remedy's Quantum Break and apparently a project with Insomniac Games. I wonder who else they might be working with, Avalance would be a good guess and Epic could be also be in the cards. Anyone else?

Avalanche would not be a bad shout considering the way they have come out in defense of Xbox One recently.

Crytek with Ryse. Avalanche is a good bet. Perhaps Lucid, although that dream is almost dead now. Frontier with their Kinect expertise. It also wouldn't surprise me if they've gotten Platinum to work with them on something.

I think I was posting along with Miles in another thread about Avalanche's very odd very outspoken bits about MS and it does seem to be that they MAY have picked up a core IP that caused them to push back that other one they were working on internally. Crackdown? Not sure.

Personally I have always felt that the Just Cause engine would work in an insane amount of game environments from RPG to adventure to shooter and I would love to see their next gen stuff. It was relatively inpsiring to see what they could do on the 360 and to have systems more powerful.

I mean...hell WHO better to make a new Blood Wake game then the guys who brought us

ok microsoft, all of the shitty f2p ideas i've heard, a viva pinata f2p game would be relevant to my interests.

@aegies Well, Rare is working on a F2P game.
?

if crackdown exists... and it's possibly being down by avalanche (crazy conjecture) I hope they keep the cartoony look and not realistic. Crazy 1080P60 and cartoon fun.

I'm really hoping the Epic Infiltrator tech demo is actually a game. That looked fantastic.

NOT getting excited or anything.
But a Viva Pinata game would literally cause my wife to drag me screaming to buy a system. I am totally not lying. It would be a battle.
For example my wife doesn't even blink an eye at todays news. She is fully online all the time and most of her tablet games have online requirements, she can't resell them and never thought she could. The big difference is the cost but the GFX to price ratio to her is well with her means. Lordy. Statham I am so glad she does GAF.

Its kind of upsetting. There is nothing that they can say that will be met with joy.

nope outside of the train riders anything on this board will be met with scoff and cynicism... I do think the journos will give it a fair shake though but the rest will call them sellouts.

but yea, there will be no quarter given no matter how many roundhouses they pull out... the main stream will be wowed though if it's good enough and probably won't give two shits about the policies

Also, derFeef, have you played Viva Pinata? The game they were showing (watched the whole conference live and payed special attention to the bits of it that popped up) really didn't look like it. I mean, Viva Pinata happens in a square garden and was made by Rare (honestly my favorite game by them by far). This did not look like Rare's art style and it looked more like a place you could explore. It also looked a little too realistic for a Pinata game. Idk, could be, (yeah, I saw the fence placing and stuff) but I'm thinking no. If it is, that would be a pretty different direction. I'm thinking it's some other game and probably that "Kinect family game on an island" we were hearing about.

I have a feeling Microsoft will have lots of appealing games and it will make people question their stance on the DRM issue. I hope the latter doesn't happen but I think it might.

I agree, apart from all the bright colors and, uh, fences, it didn't have much in common with Viva Pinata.

While I agree, it could very well be that it has "evolved" in style a bit. This is just me though, it was the first thing that sprung to my head when I saw it.

Viva Pianta crossed with Animal Crossing, built into the Xbox. Your achievement points act as currency to buy stuff for your house.

No, stahp. Seriously guys, for reasons I simply cannot understand, Viva Pinata is the one game of its genre that I can like. I can't stand Animal Crossing or any of those others. I don't get it. It's weird because I like trying new things and stuff, but that genre and the RTS/TBS genres just don't hold my attention. What's even weirder is Viva Pinata may be one of, if not the, best game of all time for me. I'm not even a picky guy either; it's weird.

I actually had a very basic idea for another Viva Pinata (an aggregate of some very common requests people have for it and some of my own ideas to string them all together). I'd make an OP but I can't, and I'm not going to have any one else do it
again.

Yup, I agree is a possibility. Don't think it's likely but we'll see.

Ford and I are currently in our E3 Chat on twitch (Check your PMs for the password) if anyone wants to come say hi. I want to test out the channel to see if we can get a proper conversation going on in there, a little test if you will.
