I posted this here a while ago, but looks like almost no one noticed. So i repeat, with all info i have in one message. Don't ban me please) Maybe someone even make a thread?

This is ukranian gaming podcast wich is running by one of the Prime World: Defender's devs in his blog. They just air a newest show, recorded yesterday from LA where they talks about e3. And at the end they spoiled that some ukranian studio is making a big free-to-play game for microsoft. All names were drowned out obviously, but judging from the beginning of a word and its length best suited is "Halo".

In addition in the conversation they said, this game has a big budget directly from Microsoft and being in development for 2+ years.

So my guess this is f2p Halo from Saber Interactive, makers of Halo Anniversary.

That would be interesting. I would definitely play that. Plus, it fits in with the rumors that there will probably be a Halo shown off at the event. I just don't think it will be from 343. They only just finished Halo 4 last year, so I don't think it will be until 2014 at the earliest.

New SmartGlass UI

Looks nice! Pretty awesome that you can now control the volume of the TV with Smartglass. If they can make this connect much faster than the current one can, I'll probably use it more. The one thing I like about the current one is that it's so much faster to launch apps with it. You don't have to dig through menus on the 360, you can just tap any of the icons in Recently Played on your phone and it just launches it right away. I hope at some point they add in the ability for you to play games with it (if you have a controller hooked up to your tablet/PC maybe). Then it could be WiiU-esque where you can play some games without ever turning on the TV (or if someone is already using it when you want to game).

Soo close!

*Edit*
Any rumours on whether Microsoft will show more of illumiroom?

Rumors is a strong word... More like wishes.

I really don't think they will though. Illumiroom is still a research project at this point. It would also be hella expensive too. You need a second Kinect, as well as a projector right next to that Kinect. A lot of peoples rooms just wouldn't work well with it I'd imagine. It would be cool, but I still think it's in the "it's cool, but we won't ever get it" category.

Saber Interactive :/ Halo Anniversay looked like crap in my opinion and TimeShift was atrocious.

Sounds unlikely, they have shipped both inversion and god mode in the time since Halo. They'd have to be a pretty big studio to handle those and an MMO!

You can only plan online if you make it so everyone has an online connection. I believe this is really like the had drive issue all over again. You can write your game with online functions only if you know everyone is required. If its optional no one is going to use it. Same thing with kinect. I guess more will come up after E3 though.

This is a moot point if the X1 will still function with nothing but a check in on the internet every 24 hours for licensing. They are not making the connection mandaoty 24/7. Developers cannot assume that the connection is there at all times for the "cloud" smoke and mirrors. The 24hr requirement is for licensing and nothing more.

Yep, although they could probably get away with a much more relaxed system should they not of made the option to remove licenses.

Did you never play it? Halo Anniversary was pretty awesome IMO. Hell, if you didn't like what they did with the graphics, you could just push a button and it switched back to the original graphics. It was an awesome feature that you rarely get in HD remakes.

That system (which currently is in use) allows you to purchase the game on one machine (let's say a friends) which can play offline.

Then the account that purchases it has access to it on any machine. Instabtly you have just created a copy for a friend to play.

They seem to not mind the potential loss of sales now on GoD/XBLA titles, I say they shoudl jut go with it. Besides, what in the world do they think is going to happen with the 10 family members attached to an account? This policy will be taken advantage of much worse than what I propoe.

Dat all in one!

Looking forward to hearing about new XBL features. There was talk in an interview about adding value to gold. I'm guessing something similar to PS4 plus.

Hello XboxGAF,

Let's have a good E3! Hope we can enjoy all of the game reveals! :)

Cheers

Its cool to have a discussion about it but I don't think this is thread for it. If you guys want to pm I'll talk about this for hours. :)

I want a new flying gaming. Vehicle combat sorta thing. Blur or Split/Second but with planes or boats.

The switching was cool, I just thought they did a bad job with creating the halo vibe in the remake part.
Deserts became fields of grass, red sunsets became night time. The metallic interiors looked nothing like the later halo games, or which there has been 4 at that point.

I want a Halo themed Battlefield game.
I've had it upto the teeth with arena combat

A massive halo battle game would be pretty cool. I don't know if we will ever see anything like that though. Would be great. The most fun for me is playing king of the hill with tanks and banshees.

I honestly do have faith in MS actually showing some real good stuff tomorrow.

Please don't disappoint.

While I would prefer not to spend and get 2 consoles for financial reasons, I still do want to.

just gimme like three day 1 games and I will be over.

I am sure 3 out of the 15 (or 8) exclusives will appeal to me enough, hopefully.

Nothing on the 360 really was good enough for day 1 ( except AW2 could have been for XBONE, which was taken to the back and shot sadly). A new Open world IP would be a great start.

That the Xbone replaces other devices like DVD players, receivers etc. Strangle enough, you still need a receiver for it to work, though.

Is that really so strange?

I love what they're doing with the HDMI pass-through. I no longer have to switch back and forth between Comcast and Xbox inputs on my TV. It's not that it's trying to be a receiver or cable box, you'll of course still have those. It's just that with the One it's the only input you'll need to use on your TV since it brings all of that into one box.

What's the point of ignoring opinions? For example I think the DRM stuff is bullshit, it seems surreal to me that people would defend it, but I still try to at least see things from their perspective.

YES.

World is persistent. Everyone plays infantry classes per usual.

Spartans / Elites are considered a vehicle class, only "drivable" after a certain experience rank, and have some cost associated to deploying them so that there can only be a few on the battlefield at a time making their presence a big deal.

Dream game.

And if the IR input on the back is anything to go by, you want need to use your receivers remote either.
