They don't need to, not with ms doing what its doing. Although it is kinda worrying.
except for the whole it was MS's idea and it's only going to get worse
Oh my god.
- If a game isn't updated, you can't play it, period.
Just rattling off ideas on how the DRM situation could get even worse.
Those are certainly ways to make DRM worse.
Don't worry about sounding like a fanboy. Xbox One is the first console in the industries history where actively hating it doesn't make you a fanboy; it just makes you in possession of all the facts.
I know CBOAT is as truthfact as can be, but I can't comprehend how MS's DRM can get worse than what has already been mentioned.
I just can't.
Then maybe we could believe in capitalism again. At this point all Sony has to do is show a 5-10 min clip of games.
Walk Kaz on stage and say "No DRM.", drop the mic and walk off.
Thus the word majority instead of everything
Stealing this line for offline usage.
You know whats the best news about next gen? Seems like outside of first party, mostly every game is popping up on pc as well.
no this thing tanking would be a godsend. Is it wrong to want something to fail?
So...what's to keep Sony from simply stating at their conference that the suppressed games are coming to PS4?
They might as well lose Silver at that point.Oh my god.
- What if Silver members for Xbox One don't even get 24 hours for authentication, instead you have to be online at all times just to launch the game after installing it.
- You have to digitally re-install the game after a month for up to date authentication
- If a game isn't updated, you can't play it, period.
- You have to be a gold member to buy DLC.
- Silver members have up to a month for keeping saves, must be a gold member to keep saves for a longer period. All save games are required to be placed on the cloud, Silver members get less space or slots in the cloud.

If this is true, which I don't doubt, we're in drawn-and-quartered, ash scattering, salted fields territory here.Is it wrong to want something to fail?
When it sounds as awful as this, absolutely not.Is it wrong to want something to fail?
Microsoft's press release about their online and used games policies seem to correlate with what CBOAT is saying about Microsoft not really having a plan, and intending to just brush it under the rug.
This is pretty much what Sony said about using Gaikai to stream games for backwards compatiblity (or PS3 games). I think their phrase was 'In the future, we'll be exploring possibilites...'Loaning or renting games won’t be available at launch, but we are exploring the possibilities with our partners.
Oh, this is awesome news then!Kagari has indicated she heard it's free. Not sure who else.

I expect jeering at MS' e3 presentation.
I think it'll be something to do with the camera...

Hmm, I could see bullshit like that for heavily played multiplayer games. Because lol server costs trolllololol"We see you've played Elder Scrolls VI for 100 hours. This game activation has been de-authorized. Please pay $60 to re-authorized and continue playing."
Maybe I'm being a bit paranoid here but....people are still going to buy the XBONE anyway, aren't they?

Walk Kaz on stage and say "No DRM, No PSN Fees, No Region Lock, No used game shenanigans... Just games.", drop the mic and walk off.

DR3 yes. ME2 no.
But by getting it day 1 you are contributing to its success.
