Is everything from the beta going to be erased on the official release? The reason I ask is I don't know if I should make a character now just so I can secure a name I want.

If everything goes according to plan your characters from phase 4 will carry over into the full game.

I believe everything from now (phase 3) will be erased, but the open beta (phase 4) will persist.

How is GAF finding this game? I've had a beta code ever since FF13 was released, and now SE are sending me beta emails for the ARR PS3 version. I don't even know if my computer could run the game, but I think I'd rather play MMOs on PC than PS3. Anyone know if the beta codes are cross-platform?

I am loving it on ps3, runs great

Managed to hit 32 and get into a party for the last dungeon. It was a sweet run (I loved the goblins since FFXI, so saving some of them felt just right to me), and there was a dragoon in the party called Final Requiem with some cool dark armor.

It's funny how divisive the opinion on the frame-rate is. Either it's crap or great.

Though I know the real answer is that it's really terrible and will get much worse when the game actually launches

Really wish phase 4 would start already. I wanted to play but it just seems like a waste of time now. Plus I want there to be some mystery left around the starting cities.

I've just spent the last 2 hours repeatedly killing Cancer the Giant Enemy Crab outside of Costa Del Sol. I don't even know why.

I'm pretty much ready for this game to launch at this point.

I haven't seen the PC version but I based it off of the MMOs that I have played
Star Wars Galaxies -my favorite
Guild Wars
early WOW
DCUO

It runs the best of all of those for me.
I still might like SWG more(nothing like a party all jumping into a speeder and going bounty hunting) but this definitely puts it to shame with how it runs. Though I guess the maps were HUGE so it gets credit for that.

Is the final game going to have some journal/diary/datalog of sort? The story is a complete mess and I don't understand what the fuck is going on nor who the fuck are all these characters introduced every second.

Also, which are the cutscenes that in the final game are going to be voiced?

Have any of you conjurers did the Trial by Wind quest. I've been looking for a while on my map, but I don't see where I'm supposed to go to start it.

It's in another section of the Shroud - forget which one.

You can look at the region map to trace the quest location back to your location so you can figure out where to go.

Yay! I made it to level 10 just in time to be able to Rent and Ride a Chocobo!

The music is sooo cool, glad the theme is nice and intact. Had a lot of fun playing with my Brother's Girlfriend. Here's a picture of us on our Chocobos xD

It turns out that there is a renowned resort on the shores of Eastern La Noscea. This famous getaway, the legendary Costa del Sol, has one of the most noteworthy bars in Eorzea. Naturally, we had to see it for ourselves.

Little did we know, just south of this resort lurks a Giant Enemy Crab whose size and ferocity dwarfs all other crabs, even ones from Japanese history. Yes, the beach to the south of Costa del Sol is the home of the notorious Cancer, the greatest Giant Enemy Crab gaming has ever known!

He also gives about 17-18k XP per kill. A number of us ended up on that beach and around Costa del Sol for hours chasing FATEs and this crab. I can imagine large groups of people after launch forming up to kill this guy when they are leveling up sub jobs.

Wait, Phase 3 doesn't end tomorrow? Lame. I was hoping for some more Duty Finder testing, I wanted more options, like the ability to chose people from your own server first, etc. (There are a lot of good suggestions that should be implemented on the official forum)

If you played in Phase 3 from the start are you going to be able to jump automatically into phase 4? Can you use the same account or do you have to receive a separate beta invite?

This game just wants me to get the full release but I'm still not sure about the monthly fees..
Any info about prepaid gamecards as an payment option? Please say yes.

I heard from a friend that she saw them on Amazon already once but that might have been a mistake so yeah... :/

Phase 3 photos:

And now a short visual story about a very lonely Roegadyn:

My god this game... :o Where are the beach-like areas located? If we get another weekend I'm going there! :D

And really, from all the MMOs I played the ones here in FF X|V feel the most alive and not just like areas designated from a particular level which is awesome! Though will there be more areas to explore? I wandered around the three cities and their outskirts but the world overall seems quite small looking over the map :/

I think the duty finder still needs more testing before phase 4, turn the servers back on SE.

Did all 3 dungeons today (some reruns), we died a few times at copperbell since I'm not entirely sure what I was suppose to do at the boss and being careless, at the end the boss was pretty straight forward, we died a few times using the wrong strategy.

The only dungeon where people bother to say a single word was copperbell, people don't start chatting unless they absolutely have to (people doing things wrong), which makes some of the runs a bit boring, it may as well spawn a bot to fill the slots :P With cross servers feature I don't think I'll ever meet some of them again either.

Played for 10 hours on PS3 , played 2 hours on pc.

Being accustomed to MMo , the PS3 is not perfect , but it's fluid enough, i saw nothing that i haven't seen in other MMo on the PS3 version.

Now it's clear that the PC version destroy it in term of specs, but the PS3 version runs fine.
I wouldn't be so addicted to a game that run like crap. The beta phase 3 actually managed to regain a high opinion of the game from me.

Now i wish i could have a ps4 version soon so that i could play in HD on console because it's clear that the game isn't running at HD resolutions yet.

Thanks for all the interesting stories and updates guys. I've been lurking while playing scrolls for the last two phases and am eagerly awaiting (been saving myself) for phase 4.

I love the lonely Roegadyn.

That was opposite for me cause all through the 3 first dungeons I was chatting with the ones I was with, joking about stuff and just generally having a nice ongoing atmosphere~ =/

I got lucky with Copperbell as well with having one who did it before, he gave us the heads up before every boss on what to expect and planned each of our roles in the fight~ :3

All in all The Duty Finder was rather pleasent for me, been a while since I did a dungeon run and had fun doing it...! =D
