That would rock. I really want the Assault Rifle.

I would really like to see master replicas of these:

There might be some people who'd be interested in this one as well:

Nope. Not even close.

Opaque. Glittering Hypnotic.

It is the kind of thing that will make Ghaleon and Mr. V cry.

blah

Go ahead and talk about the campaign.....

BUT EVERYONE KNOWS we will all be playing XBL Multiplayer when we first pop in the disc.

Best way to play Halo 3

-Watch the exta DVD's in between playing random H3 multiplayer and visiting gamefaqs halo 3 forum.
-Play the SP after a few weeks and cry.

FACT!

i'll spend at least 2 or 3 days taking my time at least once through the campaign before touching anything else. then, i'll watch the supplementary vids in the ce/le, THEN its on to multi, which i doubt i'll put done for months if not years

I hope that's not the case

:(

I don't see why you would touch multiplayer until you finished the campaign. For one, you'll probably have the story spoiled for you by playing on Live. Second, the campaign is how you get acclimated to all of the changes in weapons and equipment. Plus, with the way I play Halo games, the campaign will probably only take two or three days tops.

Oh no way man, I'll be taking off of work to run straight through the campaign (Heroic) first, and when I take breaks it'll be multi-time. But multi won't have my attention till I, "Finish the Fight", as they say. And man, I tell yah, I can't wait to have a multiplayer game again. Halo has ruined gaming for me at the moment, although lately it does seem like games are getting an extra layer of polish across the board. Hopefully, this gen some other studios will start nailing the formula (which I'm not even sure I understand) at what makes Halo so much greater to play than anything else.

Yah, I took down the Halo2 campaign in a little under two days, I did midnight - 8 in the morning of campaign. Slept till noon, and then played till I beat it, somewhere late that afternoon. It was pretty freakish, I only ate once, and my eyes were really dried out from lack of blinking I guess. It was funny cuz I was living in this giant apartment at the time with 3 other roomates, and we all bought our copies at midnight, and no one really left their rooms much for 2-3 days till we all beat it. I remember you could tell who finished the game by the groans.... finish the fight, didnt go over really well in the house.

I said I would play the campaign first when Halo 2 came out, but I got so addicted to the multiplayer I don't think I played campaign until about 2 weeks after release. :lol

I'm just way more into the competitive aspect of MP, compared to fighting A.I., but if the campaign is as awesome as I think it will be this time around, I think I'll jump right into it.

False.

For me its going to be Campaign 12am- whenever i can stake awake. Sleep. Wake up then Finish campaign.

I am taking a week off of work. Yes I said it... a Week. I have vacation time that needs to be taken and my girlfriend doesn't deserve to go anywhere special so it is Halo 3 for me.

God, it's times like this that I REALLY wish NeoGAF allowed sigs. :D

I'll probably play a mix of MP and SP when i get it, but to prevent spoilers over live i'll probably just stick to slayer games so i can turn voice chat off (won't matter if i can't hear/talk there) :p

I'll be taking a day off of work, and trying to beat as much of the SP as possible in that time. Apparently on Heroic, per the BWU.

Stinkles, is the object in question round?

On a semi-related and disturbing note, I actually dreamt about Halo 3 last night. Somehow I actually got to go to Bungie Studios to play bits of the game. The freakiest thing about the dream was seeing Frankie/Stinkles 20 years younger with a very full head of curly red hair. o_O Guess that's what I get for blowing through Halo 2 this week and reading too many Halo threads before going to bed. And eating Italian way too late at night.

Btw, has anyone thought of how much fun the spike grenade is going to be in SP? Especially against the Flood...

The trade-off is definitely worth it.
You get to see the bannings first-hand. Maybe even get a ban yourself, if you're lucky and you get sauced enough beforehand.

The downside is you miss all the chicks dressed up in game character costumes.

On the flip side, he'll be playing the near-final version of Halo 3.

I know where I'd rather be sitting.

....And potentially working towards the betterment of his favorite franchise / playing a part in the history of Halo... yeah I know exactly where I'd be sitting.

Yeah, that would be cool, but at the same time, the experience will be really fresh and mind-blowing for us on September 25th. There's a trade-off there too.

Absolutely, there is. But, I knew what I was giving up -- the trade-off is MORE than worth it.

You act as though campaign and Xbox Live multiplayer will always be mutually exclusive...

That being said, I'll absolutely be playing campaign all the way through, possibly twice, before launching headlong into competitive multiplayer. In fact, I'm going to log my sorry ass out of Xbox Live so that I can experience the final chapter of this saga by myself, alone and relish it.

I can honestly say that I do not doubt this for one moment. When it comes to Halo, I'm straight emo. I wasn't pushing the buttons when the trilogy was forged in blood and sweat, but I'll be damned if the series isn't 'my baby' too.

I hadn't thought of this. I have some idiots on my friendslist.... Good idea!

I wonder if I'll get the hours of replay on co-op with the single player which i had with halo 1.

Halo 2 on co-op just didnt hit the right spot with me.
