Is this an actual NOA decision or orders from NCL? It would be both funny and sad if this is NOA flexing their autonomy, pumping iron for stupidity, shaving armpits for conservative judgement, and tanning for meaningless control.

WOW!!! I was going to give them until the day of EVO to see if they would back from this or not, but in the SAME DAY?! O_O

Honestly, if I was at Nintendo when this happened, I would've risked myself in letting them go for it anyway and take the heat from the higher-ups if it was possible, due to how passionate the fans are to this.

So glad Nintendo let up, as said, hope this is a precedent.

I also hope we actually get details about why it happened in the first place.

I’ve just receive word from Nintendo that the Evo Smash Bros. Melee stream will be allowed to proceed. We will be restoring the original stream and tournament schedules. Obviously this is a huge relive for all of us here and we’re thrilled that the world will get to see the best Smash players fight it out this weekend. Thanks to everyone online who supported both Evo and Smash.

Not true. TP ran on fan wishes. No other recent one has.

There aren't after the 100k hardcore market, they are after the 5 million casual market.

The sooner people start to realise this, the easier it is to understand all this.

They're after both. This is a dumb decision, but I highly doubt it's because they don't want to sell their games.

The only thing I can figure is that they think that the Melee love caused Brawl to have weaker sales than it would have rather than stuff like tripping and they want to people to forget about Melee. But they're just fanning the flames with this decision.
