So who is buying?
I would, but only Knifehead is on their site right now.

Eh, it was alright. I agree with most of the complaints here, though.

Like, why call it Pacific Rim if 90% of the movie is going to take place in Hong Kong. They should have took the time they wasted on the bloated midsection to properly flesh out the San Francisco and Sydney attacks. The scope just felt too narrow.
Because the China Sea is still part of the Pacific?

Took some clearer shots of the figures tonight. Absolutely gorgeous.

The more I see of Leatherback, the more I want it.

At 1:24, last question in the survey:
'Q10 What Hollywood movie, and/or comic book characters do you most want to see as a high-end figure' - first option is Pacific Rim =)
Pacific Rim Monsterarts would be the best thing ever.

I mean, they made freaking Godzilla a super-articulated beast; they'd have to try to screw up with Gipsy Danger.

Most fun in a theater I've had in a very long time. I was just talking with my little brother on the phone and I practically demanded he go see it. If you don't like this movie, we can't be friends.

God, I'm terrified to ask how expensive these are. I'm just glad they exist.

Leatherback is beautiful. Can't wait to complete my collection!

Judging by Knifehead's page, they're all going to be $300+ and not release until Q2 next year :(

Still, Striker may motivate me to keep a Pacific Rim nest egg, because he would look amazing on my mantelpiece or as a centerpiece at the dinner table.

Why did they have to provide three $300+ figures?! Specifically to torture people who can only afford one?

Probably. It's a good thing I only really want Striker, otherwise I'd be applying for a second job and selling all of my nonessentials.

Seriously no cherno for series 2

I'm willing to put money on Cherno and Otachi being the Series 3 figures, along with Raiju or Slattern if the figure gods are smiling down on us.

We still haven't seen Battle-Damaged Gipsy Danger for Series 2 yet, either. Odd, considering he'd probably be the easiest of the series to produce if they use the same mold :P

Well, just saw the movie, and after looking forward to it for a very long time, I was incredibly disappointed. It was one of the cheesiest movies I've ever seen and most of the fights are spoiled in the trailers.

Just an absolute mediocre movie =(

This is one of the most exciting fun blockbuster films I've ever seen...Del Toro is masterful. It doesn't take itself seriously either, its perfect.

Just got back from seeing this after hearing all the hype... soooo worth it!!! everyone in the theater was enjoying it, some even trying their best to withhold their excitement... it's a fun movie

Are those statues thru SideShowCollectables? (I see Knifehead there)

And you say by next year release? I shall collect refunds from bottles now.... :)

Man, what happened to cause a spike in the prices for those figures? I bought GD and CT right after seeing the movie for less than 18 each on Amazon and skipped out on knifehead since hes not as appealing as Otachi or Leatherback. Now eyre going for 40 each? Thats crazy

movie turned out to be fucking awesome, nerds went home and bought all the toys.

This was better the second time for me, I got to appreciate all the little things during the fights. Pretty fucking amazing how detailed they got with certain aspects

People who go into this, turn their brains off and don't pay attention are doing it wrong

Yeah, I picked up all 3 for $20 on Amazon shortly after seeing the movie for the first time. Wonder if they're just trying to capitalize on the movie's sudden popularity.

I've been seeing giant Supermans at Wal-Mart. Wonder if they are gonna do a giant Pacific Rim toy?

Neca's doing an 18-inch Gipsy Danger, and it'll definitely be higher quality than those Supes you've been seeing.

That immediately deflates my interest.

It was really bad. You know, as cheesy as the "cancel the apocalypse" line is, it's still badass in the original version. I never had problems with it. But in the german version? The speech was pretty mediocre. Plus it annoyed me that the german voice of charlie day was nothing like the us one.

This movie tickled my geek nerves like no other movie I can remember.
I actually almost cried when
stringer got out of his mech after beating the shit out of the monster in tokyo.
Ten year old me would've actually shit in his pants with excitement.
This fucking movie.

Ending spoilers
I really hoped that Stacker would get his badass moment and pull out a restored Coyote Tango back into service for him to solo pilot to the breach with the bomb, assisted by Striker and Gipsy.
