I really hoped that Stacker would get his badass moment and pull out a restored Coyote Tango back into service for him to solo pilot to the breach with the bomb, assisted by Striker and Gipsy.

Would have been great! Tango looks fucking badass.

No one is posting where those statues are from, that I have read, but I found em :) gosh I hate telling anyone that doesn't know but screw that ^_^

Side Show Collectables Contest - Win em all!

I signed up to the newsletter as well.

Btw, the guy taking the picture of the Stryker Sideshow statue IS the pilot of it in the movie. Took me a moment :)

EDIT: lulz that picture has a watermark from Sideshow in the lower right hand corner as well. I am an idiot. Where is my coffee?!?!? CHOP CHOP!

So... Pacific Rim is the closest we can get (probably ever) about a good live action evangelion movie?

P.D: Movie is really really awesome, but Del Toro wasted a golden oportunity of made this saga a duology.

Didn't think they'd have the toys in the UK yet, but I went into the Forbidden Planet in Nottingham and found Gipsy Danger! :D

They said they should be getting the rest in so I'll gladly come back and grab em when they do.

Guys, why is the main theme so awesome?

Just listen to this awesome cover.

Jaeger Hoser Mountie. What a Canuck :) That cover though is sick. Just downloaded it, cheers!

I drunkenly spent 30 minutes arguing with friends to get them to see this movie

One of them said the premise is stupid and that Transformwers had a better premise.

Just saw it then. The movie was straight up terrible. But marginally better than world war z.

Probably just as bad as 1998 Godzilla imo.

And just to let everyone know, noone speaks like that in australia. Shocking australian accents all round.

I enjoyed it and will buy when it's available for purchase. All in all, my expectations were met. Pretty terrible writing though.

"TODAY! ... today... we are cancelling the apocalypse."

I agree wholeheartedly.
Pentecost needed his solo badass moment, whether it resulted in a sacrifice or not. I also would have prefered it if he fought the Kaiju single-handed, as opposed to blowing up.

Transformers is such a blemish on the giant robot genre. I hate how "it's not Transformers" is always the first conversation people have to have about the movie.

Well they said they had a more "believeable" premise. I was like wut.

Then they said why couldn't we just use missiles and stuff. Then I freaked out some more.

yeah those accents were bad. but guillermo del toro tends to cast some garbage actors in his films so I wasn't surprised.

still at least idris elba and charlie day/perlman made up for it.

that german dude was awful as well. people shit on transformers humor but the joke scenes with that dude were just as bad if not worse.

however, when it came down to it the action made up for the film's shortcomings big time.

The humor's nowhere near as bad as Transformers. Not to mention they're used VERY briefly.

nah going by the first film i think that german guy is pretty bad. he would fit right in that franchise.

plus nobody laughed in the theater during his scenes. it felt like a transformer pissing oil over federal agents all over again (although that somehow got the theater rolling on the floor back in the day)

guillermo sucks at humor. hellboy films are corny as hell. in fact...he sucks at a lot of things. but i'm grateful that he made this film.

This is the worst news I've ever heard. The Yukes/DoubleHelix of toys got the Legendary Godzilla license? Fuck everything.

Only for 31inch figures. Normal sized ones, 12 and 6inches and below, are by Bandai. Getting unveiled on Saturday most likely.

My 3D glasses arrive today, so I'm almost certainly going to attempt to drag people out to see it again with me.

...but it will end up with just me in the theatre sadly drinking a Diet Coke that I don't even want but still coo'ing at the epic madness that's going on...

...hopefully with the most clear image of a 3D movie I've seen to date given I'm brining my own 3D glasses that should have been worn and cleaned and worn and cleaned a thousand times.

Guillermo's humor is corny, like having 2 cheesy characters sing a romantic song in drunken stupor, or what we saw in PR. Bay's humor is showing someone's hairy behind on screen, or making a couple of robots a pair wise cracking rednecks.

I know which one is more tolerable for me. Comedy is always going to be one of the most subjective parts about anything.

Saw it last night. Defintely worth seeing, especially in 3D! Best use of 3D I'd say since Avatar. Usually my eyes just sort of adapt to the 3D effect but I could notice the seperation through almost the entire movie.

Wow, I feel like the asian actress totally killed this movie. Whenever she was on screen it was cringe worthy. The intro was great, felt the emotional impact but then after that the movie dives far into some sort of campy hole. There are moments del toro brings things back to life, mostly when the great stringer bell is on screen. But otherwise this movie is just worth goign to see for these epic monster vs robot battles. My god......the effects are next level shit. Looked amazing, the animation I'm sure was a feat alone, but with all the explosions and particle effects...plus the water!!! amazing! Worth seeing for sure, little disapointed in del toro with the script. Hes never had a movie be this cheesy before.

Oh shit, I would love to see an RD/Revoltech version of the Jaegers.
Soul of Chogokin Jaegers...that's all I ask for, yo.

Would love to see a Soul of Chogokin Gipsy Danger next to this on my shelf:

Soul of Chogokin GX-34 Gunbuster

Have a baseball bat vs. oil tanker sword fight =)

So I read somewhere that theaters are thinking about taking it down because it isn't making much money. Is there any truth to this?

"somewhere", you say? My favourite source of information.

It's a little too early for some smaller houses to take down a film that just came out about a week or 2 ago.

I have no idea how theaters run things so I just wanted to make sure that I could see it in a week or two. I'm waiting on a few friends.

Naw you will be cool, but idk if WB will have enough faith in it to grow legs. They might tho, but yea your good for a few weeks
