Damn, beat me to posting it!

Still, HYPE! Just gotta hope EC players go to it... will any of WC go? Or, too early to say?

Too early to say.

Though, its less than 2 months away so I guess we've got to get it figured out. East Coast majors keep giving Smash such little notice and its hard for us to plan around it...NEC, Winter Brawl, and Toryuken were added month of iirc.

At the very least we'll get a large EC crowd, which on its own is enough for big numbers. The sooner Dr PP, M2K, and Hbox confirm, the better.

Yeah, it's been really... strange but I hope EVO has increased the hunger of the EC enough to go to TFC. I know Alukard got mad hype from EVO enough to confirm RoM6 haha, so maybe he'll try to get NYC to go? Dunno.

I can't see how PP wouldn't go other than school. And M2K goes to almost every tournament on the EC and since ClashTournaments is going to be the staff for... TFC, I'd assume he'd want to get all his players to the tournament (if it lines up with their schedules obviously).

But then there was Winter Brawl and that went terribly... (though the inclusion of Melee was sooooooooooo late, like two weeks of notice? Something like that).

I think EVO automatically increases attendance numbers (to a degree) though because of new blood + rejuvenating people to compete.

We'll see I guess. Best thing to do is to push it just as hard as we pushed EVO. No slacking! :P

hmm, so Combofiends official title is "assistant battle director" furthermore, according to eventhubs, he is "in charge of what changes get in the game."

I wonder if he'll be able to remain unbiased? Nothing against him, he's a great guy. But he's not a dev sitting in an office in Japan, he was (is) a player himself. I feel that because of hi tournament background, his friends in the FGC, and his general history with fighting games, that it *may* influence which characters get buffed and which get nerfed.

Has anyone on twitter or Unity or in an interview somewhere asked him about his involvement and how he is trying to balance the game while keeping his personal feelings out of it?

edit:
does this also mean he had influence over the 5th character? That would be a "change in the game" as well.

Decided to book a flight for VXG at the last minute today. Gotta play in the last big money MK tournament. I know they took forever to book one of the MK qualifier's flight. He won the tournament in March and didn't get his flight details until last night. I hope this tournament is legit.

Good luck Dood.

So that's how many players now that VxG has dropped the ball on + potentially being the sponsor that couldn't come through for EMP during EVO?
