Anyone else think that infamous second son is the best looking next gen exclusive?

In terms of gameplay, yea. In terms of graphics, my eyes honestly don't see a difference between games anymore. They all look great.

KZ Shadowfall, Infamous, and The Division are all really close. Each have their strengths for sure.

I vote KZ for scope and art direction, personally.

I like The Divison more (although, that could be my bias for all thing New York City).

Sure, inFamous is probably the currently announced next gen exclusive that I could see myself having the most fun with in terms of gameplay. 1886 looks promising as well. Sunset Overdrive is striking visually, but I can tell that it's a game that I would not be into playing.

Exclusive.

Look at some the matches in motion. The fact that there's something always dynamic happening in the foregrounds and backgrounds of a fighting game that isn't restricted to few animations. The way how things break and destroy with every hit struck, the way the music molds and matches with the situation of the game. This has been the only next-gen game that REALLY convinces me that this is for a more powerful generation of consoles.
60FPS, 1080p

I was just thinking about the nature of fighters on a 2D plane and not having to render large draw distances and enemy AI. I guess I'm not convinced that this kind of stuff couldn't be accomplished on current gen by bumping down the resolution and FPS. That plus I'm not a fan of the art style. :)

But at the same time there doesn't seem much going on with the environment, maybe it needs more pedestrians.
How to explain it, it felt a bit "empty" to me....but most impressive game that I've seen thus far for the new generation.

And it's sort of a launch title / year 1 thing, too early to say considering they got 20 first party games coming out in the first year.

I don't think Killer Instinct is even close to being in the running. It could be mistaken for a current gen game at this point.

after the downgrade watch dogs went through, i'll wait to see how the division turns out. ubisoft cannot be trusted anymore.

I don't know if it's the most technically impressive we've seen, but I do really like the way it looks. I'm especially digging the way the characters animate and emote, and the city is looking great in terms of detail and destructibility.

Title is sort of confusing then. Since I read it as exclusive to next gen consoles.

Oh yeah, didn't think of reading it like that.

If that's what he meant, then The Division looks really impressive graphically though co-op focus isn't something I'm into.

Looks very good for an open world early next gen game.

but overall forza and quantum break give me more of that ''HOLY SHIT ITS NEXT GEN'' feel

So you care a lot then?

What you meant to say was that you couldn't care less.

The phrase 'I could care less' is a well established idiom by now. Blame the 1960's US for the bastardization if you have to blame someone, but when a phrase is recognized by dictionaries as a common colloquialism it's usually time to go on a witch hunt somewhere else.

Only thing remotely impressive about Killer Instinct is all the shiny particle effects everywhere.

That's it.

I don't think Killer Instinct is even close to being in the running. It could be mistaken for a current gen game at this point.

Too many particles (distracting, overkill) and the game looks like it was made with UE3, poor texture and all that (not to mention they completely raped the game by going with that crappy art style).

The images posted above from Forza 5 do look great though, better than ones I've seen from DriveClub.
Assassin's Creed 4 looks great as well IMO, the demo at Sony's E3...the jungle part was really impressive to me.

Is that PS4 or PC screenshot?

Looks awesome

it's an ubishot.

post an insincere piece of PR misinformation, and you'll get torn to shreds. post an insincere bullshot/off-screen/non interactive GIF your post will be celebrated for pages to come.

Yup, my most anticipated next gen exclusive. I might delay buying ps4 till when it comes out, should be able to pick up Killzone+Knack for cheaper then too.

I don't have a PS3... so forgive me, but Infamous looks a whole lot like Prototype. Which game came first? and those Gifs of the new Infamous look like a lame cartoon. Nowhere near most other super-realistic next-gen stuff I've seen (in this same thread)

Infamous Second Son looks like the first true next generation game (in terms of graphics). Killer Instinct looks like the Shaq Fu of next generation games. First post fail.

I'd say so, especially since it's open world.

That said, if Killzone actually gets the recent character models they showed off into gameplay then it's going to be real close.

the devision and the witcher 3 represent the next gen for me. an open world without borders, always something to explore, fantastic graphics, no loading screens and so on. and in case of the devision there is the "connectivity" thing which is fascinating as well.

infamous looks like a current gen game for me with somewhat improves textures, but i've got the feeling that they even used the animation of infamous 2.

looking only at graphics, i go with forza 5 as well..
how on earth do you figure? This game looks 20 times better than Infamous 2 as far as models and animation goes.
