Nintendo Direct WiiU/3DS @ 8/7 - NA: 7am PT, EU: 4pm CEST

Sooner or later we should be seeing some info on those games that Nintendo have alluded to, the games that they said were being kept under wraps until they were near release. I assume that those games may be the type of games that are intended to be disruptive or have a chance at very broad appeal, like we have seen with things like Brain Training and Wii Fit and Nintendogs.

We may or may not see these reveals tomorrow, but whenever we do I expect them to be met with anger/disappointment and derision.
And then if everything goes as hoped for Nintendo, core gamers and gaffers will be surprised by their success.

I can't wait to see what they've been working on.

I want to see more Mario 3D World tomorrow, as much as anything else. Maybe announce a new Metroid title, that would be cool.

Why do people keep saying this? Aren't the Nintendo Directs scheduled bimonthly? Don't expect another one until October.

Because like I said earlier, other than I believe one year, Nintendo always has a pretty substantial pre-TGS event/Direct in September.

Dammit I just said I'm trying to not get hyped and people are talking about Mother 3

Stop just let me die in boring non-hype

Did Iwata/Miyamoto hint at new [types of?] games being released THIS year, or this FINANCIAL year (up to March 2014)?

Anyone got some links?

Would be looking for an Enix localization, but since Bravely Default isn't out yet, I'm not sure. Since the weather is too hot for big announcements, I guess it will be mostly an update-esque Direct, and there's an especially big number of things we need an update on. It's high time they started promoting TW101 too!

I'm eager to see some eShop goodies for Wii U though. Remember that minor 3DS Direct that started showcasing the huge eShop support, including first-party games? That's yet to happen for Wii U, and Sakura Samurai is the only out of Pullblox, Dillon and itself that doesn't have a sequel yet.

September pre-TGS NDs are the ones that we should be looking forward to.

I expect concrete dates and price cut announcements tomorrow if anything.

Did Nintendo launch any big games to coincide with their 3DS price cut last August? I want to say know, but just checking to make sure..

I really hope there's a few surprise announcements of smaller titles on the eShop or Virtual Console.

It'd be nice to see Link to the Past being released on the 3DS VC. Rather than buy it on the Wii I've been waiting to see if it gets a 3DS release so I can play it there then A Link Between Worlds in November.

I've never played A Link to the Past before so it'd be nice to play both on the 3DS.

-Summer Update info
-GBA and N64 VC info
-Account System Details (Few people have been teasing this lately)
-New trailers, details, and release for some upcoming games.

Not expecting much else beside that.

You mean August '11? Nothing in the West, Super Pokémon Scramble in Japan.

The one thing that I would love to hear is that the fall update will make accounts unified and you can control ever aspect of the OS with a wii-mote or pro controller.

All I want is more footage of Dixie Kong and that 4th character. I'm pretty much sold on everything else accept Wind Waker.

I screamed like a schoolgirl upon seeing Dixie Kong was playable. I screamed even more like one when David Wise was confirmed as the musician.

Provided Tropical Freeze is shown tomorrow, who knows what my reaction will be...

I'm guessing mostly Wonderful 101 coverage, maybe the Pikmin 3 secret, new pokemon revealed. Possibly some Wii Sports/Wii Fit/Wii Party stuff.

If all they do is give us release dates for stuff already announced I'll be pretty satisfied.

Anything else is bonus.

I look forward to new information and media for the upcoming titles this holiday. Mostly want to see new levels / footage from Super Mario (frog suit please.) I hope they will dedicate a decent amount of time to W101, it looks great.

Price Cut? No? I'll take my hype train and go back to the station.

(...Even though I don't own a Wii U, I want that DKC game so bad.)

I wonder if that Dragon Marked for Death 3DS game is still a thing. Inti Creates/Marvelous.

Shame on Treasure co-developing Gaist Crusher. Doubtful that will ever leave Japan.
