Nintendo Downloads - August 2013

Nice, Giana Sisters!

I'm an old school fan of the C64 one, really enjoyed the DS one too other than it getting really difficult near the end lol.

Pikmin 3/Luigi U really opened the floodgates of Wii U stuff coming out I want. O_O

Apparently there's no Japanese update? Other than the fact that Metroid and Kid Icarus released have released, of course.

Only you can know :)

I'm so not trustworthy...

I havent heard much good about the japanese version. The only thing that intrigues me is the figurines but ehhh.

Is it basically the HD console version of the 3DS game or is it a smaller game? I've never played the 3DS one, bacause of that 3DS backlog, so I'm really not sure what to expect here.

I don't have much interest in the game, but do want that Eevee thing. I'll prob ebay for it or request it in the B/S/T thread after release.

Today is the 4th anniversary of the release of the original Flipnote Studio in Europe and Australia. I wonder if Nintendo can pull a miracle out of its butt and release the 3DS version today.

I heard its smaller and lacking some of the good modes that it had. IDK, never played it, Im sure impressions will be everywhere soon tho.

Any chance in hell we will see the SNES DKC Trilogy again?

How about Super Mario World 2?

I could post and say "sure, could happen, stronger hardware makes FX chip emulation easier and the DKC situation is unclear so it's a possibility"

Or I could say "no way, they never released it the first time around and if they could release DKC why don't they put it back up on Wii VC?"

Either way, nobody has a clue.

I really missed out... I need to find a Wii that has the DKC Trilogy already bought on it and buy that, then do a transfer. If it will transfer at all. Then if I transfer onto a Wii U that already has games bought on it. what happens? Do they simply add on or replace the existing games allowed to be on the console?

That's actually a great idea, and I'm curious as well.

A quick look around the web only resulted in a few offers for a used Wii console around $75 that has one or two DKC VC games - none have all 3 yet. Can you import two different Wii collections?

I have 2000+ club nintendo coins I'd use if only I could get DKC on my Wii U again. LoL

I've done about three transfers, and the games are added on top of the ones already transferred. Don't forget, whoever, that if you have a save file on your Wii U's Wii Mode, and another on your Wii, both from the same way, once you do the transfer the Wii's will overwrite the Wii U's.

By the way, has it been announced what VC Wii U games NA will get tomorrow?

So I can hunt for the DKC trilogy separately if need be great!!

New plan is to find Wii owners on craigslist and offer like a small but decent amount for the VC games, do the transfer, let them keep the Wii to sell again.

Just to confirm, has anyone transferred a DKC game specifically without issues?

Watched a trailer of Pokemon Rumble U and now I'm confused...

Do I need this game?

Is it basically the HD console version of the 3DS game or is it a smaller game? I've never played the 3DS one, bacause of that 3DS backlog, so I'm really not sure what to expect here.

The Wii version had two generations of pokemon, a small selection of dungeons, and some "Battle Royale" fights, which consist of fighting waves of Pokemon building up to a final wave with a huge and/or strong Pokemon. The 3DS version had a lot more dungeons and an overworld and RPG story.

From what I've heard (full disclosure: I haven't played it,) the Wii U version is just the Battle Royale mode (but with 5 generations of pokemon.) So you enter tournaments, fight waves of Pokemon, leading up to bosses. As you play, you'll capture some of the Pokemon you KO. Every Pokemon you capture has a power level, and you advance by capturing higher power Pokemon. If you have the NFC figures you can use them as a version of that Pokemon that can be upgraded and gain special abilities and such.

So overall the experience sounds stripped down even compared to the original Wii version, but may benefit from being more focused (or might just get stale faster.)

Is NES galaga any good?

I wish they would bring back arcade game in the vc.

The arcade version isn't hard to find. Your best option is to get Namco Museum Megamix and play it in Wii mode. You'll also get a bunch of other arcade games so it'll be a much better value than whatever they charge on VC.

So... is Nintendo keeping the OG edition of DK locked up in the vault or what? Seeing that it has four levels as compared to the NES initial's three, it's a bit of a downer we're not getting the superior
Non arcade
version.

Lol what? Ours had 30.

Only took me one try to know it wasn't my cup of tea. I remember being excited for the first EO on DS years ago, and unfortunately, once I tried it, I couldn't get into it. It's obviously a solid series, and I always find myself getting jealous of people who seem to get so much enjoyment out of it, but it's not for me.

Summer Carneval 92 RECCA is out today in Europe for the 3ds and it is the most awesome vc title in a long time for me personaly. Oh and it seems that im the only one who doesnt like Trine 2. The only title i erased from my U because after two hours of playtime i already knew that i want boot this up ever again. Nano assault neo is pretty ace though.

Normally I'd love for everything to be available to everyone, but as somebody who stooped to buying a digital copy of a game to get the four stage DK, I'm okay with it staying in the vault.

A nice compromise? Get the arcade version on VC! Why isn't this happening?

The eshop need more games... they have "sales" every week for the same games...

Do anybody knows the release date of the other eshop games, like

- 90´s arcade racer
- Project Cars
- The RTS they showed at the EU indie reel
