It was everything I dreamed!! Looks like my PS3 will remain in heavy use for a long time coming, not like it wouldn't be anyway as I have a kabillion games to finish. This is actually one of the few times I wished they brought it to the next crop of systems because of the sharing and social functions built into them.

NPCs. The more reputation points you earn, the more NPC contacts you'll meet. These are the people who you can call in favors from, like assassinations or smaller jobs like removing your radar blip from other people's screens.

Lol, the shade... If Nintendo ever gets around to spending the amount of money the R* does on its games they'd look like that too. Imagine a Metroid with this budget. Never gonna happen though.
On topic, this is shocking. It looks like they took all the shit hackers were doing with GTA4 online, then put it in GTA5. Which is fucking awesome. Looks like MS got another $50 outta me for one last year... if I can't find a really cheap PS3 on Ebay. I'll trade it in as soon as the PC version drops (if its well optimized). These online options + PChacks is going to be outrageous.
Yeah, another reason to pounce on the PC version... the only disappointment in that video.

October 1st, a patch will be released to unlock/open GTAOnline.
The release date hasn't changed. October is when the online mode will go live.

I find it very hard to believe things are going to look this good running on current gen hardware.
I'm not saying it will be bad, because what do I know? Rockstar might be the masters of optimization. But I'm personally still thinking performance is going to be pretty rough on the PS360.

So I've been given a reprieve in buying this day one if GTA Online wont launch until October. Now I need to make a decision. Still get a PS4 day one or wait until Feburary?

OHMYGOD. GtaV is looking to be the best game ever made. This MP is unbelievable, then they say it's a continually expanded world then on top of that they throw in a content creator
Decisions, decisions.
Best thing to do is skip the game, play your backlog and other upcoming games on current gen as well as nextgen games. That should keep you busy until GTA5 GotY Edition for next-gen systems.

In MP combat, will people be able to just carry a rocket launcher with them at all times? Like, could they potentially stock up on weapons and ammo and be toting the entire weapon wheel with them? That doesn't sound very balanced, lol.
