When I first read the exclusive P* game that people won't be happy about, Metal Gear Rising 2 came to mind. But if it's Japan-only then it's a game I probably wouldn't care about.
 
I'm not too worried about Platinum since the only game from them I somewhat enjoyed was Vanquish. The rest can be moneyhatted for all I care. It's the other Japanese dev news that I'm worried about.
 
To add, Microsoft wanted a omni-media box that supervises the living room.

With cutting everything you'll be left with just a console system weaker than PS4....which was the exact opposite of their initial vision.

Man, what a true clusterfuck.
 
Remember guys/gals, he does use the word 'whisper' (rumour) for the Kinectless SKU, so please don't use that to prove him wrong if it doesn't happen.

Isn't Vanquish the most likely game to be money hatted by MS? Fits their profile better than the rest of Plats games.

On wiki it says they wanted to take on the darksiders franchise so what's the prospect of it being darksiders 3? That'll probably annoy enough Sony fans
 
Considering CBOAT said that Microsoft would ride the new Kinect to the grave earlier, I wonder how bad things are for them to consider scrapping Kinect altogether.

Kinect and the services it provides was what Microsoft announced the system with. The first impression and the concept of the device revolves around Kinect being there. To remove it completely from the box would be a pretty massive capitulation for Microsoft.

Developers like Harmonix who are developing Kinect exclusive games for 2014 are going to be pissed off if Microsoft decides to sell a Kinect-less sku.

I could see a downloadable X1-exclusive Vanquish that releases close to the Japan launch next Summer (or god knows when the Japan launch is)
 
Arthur knows the real reasons the system has country specific delays and its infuriating according to his tweet. So why not report it? Surely he can't be the only one either.
 
It will be funny to see MS drop Kinect as well out of desperation.

All that talk about believing in it and what not will be quoted to hell and back.
 
If you believe you are going to sell every console you can make this year, why even theorize dropping Kinect?

architecture change caused the drop, not actual specs.
(he follows with saying that this is normal, but puts an early release out of the picture)
It's quite possible they did up the clock speed, changed the architecture to accommodate for it, and caused a drop in performance on a non-adapted development environment. The expected result over time (coming weeks) would be gains beyond the initial number, obviously.

Difference is, Sony didn't have to moneyhat all those third party exclusives. Nintendo was fucking up, Sega was dying, Xbox was new, and the PS2 was just dominant everywhere.

You don't, but as the second part of my post you quoted pointed out, it ain't exactly hard to see why folks who look forward to Platinum Games' efforts would be upset. It's safe to say that such an audience hardly aligns with one that buys MS consoles out of the gate.

Might well be that that is not a given. PS4 launch units are already almost gone, despite them being available in larger quantities, but I still can get launch day Xbones in almost every online shop I just checked.

I like Bayonetta but in order to play it i have to buy a WiiU, and that's really the point now isn't it, giving you a reason to purchase the system. That's the thing about irrational hate for certain consoles, chances are they will have some games you really want to play.

Sorry but the audience that buys Xbox is the same one that buys Playstations. 90% of the time the same kinds of titles do well or don't do well on both consoles.
