Nintendo's lack of any major presence at Gamescom makes me hope for something special to be available on the eShop today.

I'm conflicted about the SFII releases today. Part of me just wants to see more SF on Nintendo machines and will buy all 3 games with the hopes of seeing HD Remix and Third Strike Online.

Still need a WIRED fightstick for Wii U.

Wait, you really think they'd release 3SO or HD Remix on Wii U? Theres absolutely no chance man, play them on PS3 or something. That's like expecting MM9/10 just because MMX on VC sold good.

Are there any wired peripherals for WiiU (aside from sky landers and disney)? Latency on the MadCatz TvC stick is extremely good IMHO. ?

Nintendo may not allow wired peripherals. I don't know what the deal is this time.

I have never had a bad experience with a wireless stick but I would prefer not to fuss around with batteries with input heavy games.

Etrian Odyssey 4 was one of my favorite games of the year, but I'm not sure if I want more from Millennium Girl, especially after seeing on Siliconera today that many of the FOES come directly from 4.
That's sort of the other way around, actually. A lot of FOEs from the first game wound up in Etrian Odyssey 4 (with fancy new 3D models). Even a number of regular enemies from the first game were brought into the 5th maze. It makes perfect sense in retrospect since Untold and 4 were being developed at the same time.

There's always a chance... I own those games for PS3 amd 360 as well.

Nintendo and Capcom should actively be trying to cultivate and grow a fighter fanbase on Wii U to get consumers ready for Nintendo vs. Capcom.

With the free to play fighting game craze it would be interesting to see a release of HD Remix as f2p on Wii U. There is no better game to do that with.

On the topic of Etrian Odyssey I grabbed the demo the other day. Who decides how many uses you can have for each Demo? The demo itself already restrict you in areas you can travel and caps your leveling to 10. I will however, never reach that because the thing has a shitty 3 use limitation. I got to level 3 in my first use and my second I barely got any where because my 3DS ran out of battery. Was there ever any reasons given for this shit limited use thing? I was really enjoying the demo, its a shame I'll likely never get to finish it.

Why would anyone buy a sf2 game on SNES that wasn't turbo?

Growing up, Super Street Fighter II was my favorite on my SNES.

I didn't mind it being slower because it introduced one of my favorite fighters to the mix: Cammy.

I bought it on Wii VC and will pay the buck or so to upgrade it. :D

Ditto. Think it might be my favorite home version of the game. Of course that's because of nostalgia goggles, but I'm not into the super competitive aspect of fighters or in the FGC or anything.

Bit Trip Runner 2 FINALLY out on the Australian eShop.

I think I'll wait til its half price or less on sale. The delay taught me how to wait, so I will put that skill to practice.

Terribly poor form and disgusting customer service from Gaijin.

SFII releases are welcome but the sale is kind of stupid. Why would you buy more than one? Maybe Turbo and SSFII? Boggle.

Also why release Ninja Gaiden 2 on 3DS and not just do a simultaneous release on WiiU?

Wish Nintendo would get their download strategy better aligned. Especially annoying as I refuse to buy NES games on 3DS. Paying $10 to be able to play an 8-bit game on both console an handheld is BS.

The good news is Tecmo is still on board for virtual console titles, hopefully Konami still is 'cause we know Capcom is.

I can buy all 3 games for 16$. My SF collection on Saturn was 80$! (Granted, those were the arcade versions, but still)

Hmm, I never finished NGII on NES. Might have to get that 3DS version. (and probably never beat it. handheld backlog is gigantic)

Nintendo announced during the last direct that Tecmo Bowl would be coming this fall.

I wonder if we can expect any other games from them?

On the topic of Etrian Odyssey I grabbed the demo the other day. Who decides how many uses you can have for each Demo?
NISA Europe twitter account (@NISAinEurope) said Nintendo enforce the cap but did not say who decided the number (they ignored my complaint but answered somebody else) but in the past Nintendo have said it is up to developers (but no higher than 30*) so for now WTF NIS, Atlus thought 30 was good, you think 3 (the tone of the twitter account makes it sound like they are trying to hook people into buying).

As for finishing demo. Sleep mode and hugging a charger and not playing anything else are the only way you can do it. I had to play Golden Sun like that as I thought my cartridge had a bad battery (bought used no saves, was certain I booted up and saved to find no save a few months later, after beating the game months later to transfer to GS2 my saves are fine...).

*-Unlimited Theatrhythm was a bug.

Was the delay Gaijin's fault? I made a post on Miiverse about the delay, and someone from the company said they were trying to get it up as soon as possible but it was out of their hands. Wasn't it something to do with the ratings board?

A sale on release would have been a nice touch though. We got one with Trine 2's belated release.

I would've loved if at least one of these SFII games had online multiplayer added in like that Genesis VC version of Championship Edition.

Otherwise I'm just getting these because of nostalgia and that I'm a SF whore.

Didn't the SNES version of Super offer variable speed settings unlike the arcade?

EDIT: Just hit left/right at the title screen, goes up to 4 speed settings.

Thanks for the response. It feels like such a shame, the demo was quite good and I'm generally not too impressed with demos.

*-Unlimited Theatrhythm was a bug.
But my Animal friends needs me.
I was a little iffy about the restriction on Theatrhythm as well. As a pretty big fan of Elite Beat Agents and Final Fantasy I was genuinely interested but I'm not the best at these games I get through it with sheer practice and muscle memory. Can't work that into 30 uses, not even for two tracks. Not the higher difficulty setting any more. :(

So, I found out that The Wonderful 101 is 10.2 GB and I only have 11GB left on my Wii U internal storage. Is that going to be enough, or do you need at least twice as much storage left? Or does it delete the installation files during the installation so that you won't need any extra space?

Why are people so hard for turbo? Super is the superior choice. And still no DnD? What the hell, has it been cancelled?
Nintendo gave it back to the developer because of too many bugs. They have to fix them and resubmit it back to Nintendo. Nintendo talked about D n D still coming to the eshop "soon" in the last Nintendo Direct.

That's pitiful, sad that this process is taking so long. I've been holding out on this game for so long.

Just wanted to say that you can upgrade one Street Fighter for $1.50 and get any that were $7.99 for $3.99, but any that were upgradable for $1.50 will still be $1.50.

I just upgraded SFII and got Super for $3.99, but Turbo's upgrade stayed at $1.50. Grand total = $6.99

The idea of playing Street Fighter on the Gamepad is very compelling...

It's a nice lil feature but the shoulder buttons are too far out of reach to be effective. I remapped them to the triggers since they're in a more natural position but that feels strange as well. Other than that it's okay but I shake too much when I'm pounding away at inputs. However a fighting game would be too much wear and tear on the Upad buttons and I don't want to kill the pad.

Gaijin were lying if that's what they told you. The game had been out on xbla in Australia for months, and both versions would be subject to the same classification.
