I'm thinking it's fake too. I saw it on /b/ but I won't post a link to the thread in case I get b& on here. Look at the left side, it's creased, which doesn't seem likely to happen if the case has the plastic cover for the boxart.

Especially when it isn't something like taking a picture at an event you aren't supposed to. If someone actually has it early there is nothing stopping a crystal clear shot coming from it, and especially with something like GTA5, people who may actually get it early will go above and beyond to prove it. Clear front/back, everything inside.
 
I'm hyped but I gotta say this is coming out at the worst time possible for someone who doesn't own a current gen console anymore :(
And not rebuying a PS3 or 360 with next gen consoles so close.
Makes you really wish one of the new consoles had BC... (Or pc release).

Still going to revel in the hype on gaf and will follow the OT closely to see your opinions upon getting the game. The online part won't be in at launch right?

Most interested in Michael. The family aspect isn't anything we've seen before. And he feels like someone out of a Michael Mann movie.

Then Trevor. Because he seems like someone Walton Goggins would play.

Nothing against Franklin though, I'm looking forward to seeing all of their stories.

PS3 was left in Japan with my wife's family (didn't have space for it in luggage) and 360 was lent to my brother but it seems he RROD the damn thing (that was my Asian 360 btw) which means I went through 3 360's.

All I have is my trusty pc for now.

Well that sucks. I've seen a few people selling off consoles in prep for next gen so at least you aren't kicking yourself over that.

Let's not do the "holier than thou" in regards to gtaforums guys. They're just as psyched as we are, just a bit more vocal about it. Don't forget that everything from the PS3 preload info [and basically everything else] came from them.

Okay NeoGaf... you guys have made me give GTA another shot (I was really disappointed with GTA IV...). Guess I'll have to keep my ear out for a broken street date...

As someone who has lurked GTAForums for the last 2 years, in desperate need of news, i can tell that it is definitely nothing as GAF.
However most of the insanity comes from the users being mostly kids.
AND their obsession really shines when there's something to find or analyze, whether it's a voice actor or a song, or triangulating a map.

There are countless pearls though (about the impossibility of getting fat/fit in the game, GI preview):

It just occurred to me that it doesn't seem like you can deal drugs in GTA V. It could but a Trevor exclusive minigame, but I haven't seen any evidence of it.

It's the only obvious omission I can think of.

So, I pre-ordered GTA V off the PS Store, got the used the 75% off to buy Max Payne 3 and canceled the pre-order. And it worked.

I already have GTA V fully paid at a retailer, btw

Are you sure it worked? I pre-ordered a couple PSN games in the past for the discounts, and they charged my card right away.

I says on the pre-order info that it would only be charged between September 13th and 17th. And as I was using funds in my PSN wallet (I had 22€, so they couldn't have charged my more), It did not charge anything more
