why

it's always level 50s in af armor too

What level is Cutter's cry again? I was trying to keep my Pugilist some what alongside Gladiator, but maybe I need to go ahead and get up there to help.

38-40 ithink

If people wanted to beat AFK auto-kick, they'd find a way. After all, it's not like people in this thread aren't using keyboard macro tools to log in anyway. :P

Exactly. An AFK kicker isn't going to help much, people will just find ways to circumvent it. The only thing that fixes this is new server hardware that can handle the stress.

Here's a new one for me. Error 3035. "Your current service account does not allow for any more characters on this world"

I have 0 characters made on any server. :|

Hmmmm getting 1017 the past 2 hours. Funny enough, I'm able to log in to another server on a second character. But that character was created by mistake, so I just logged back out. Still can't log in to my main account.

When you start getting 1017, is it even worth trying again over and over. Or is it best just to close the client and try back in an hour? I have yet to have success trying trying over and over once 1017 happens.

EDIT: I guess I need some clarification of what 1017 is. Is 1017 when the wait queue is so over flowed, that it crashes? And if that happens, does leaving the client open mean you will just keep getting it? Or is it something that could eventually clear up if you leave your client open.

May I ask what you did to grind from 35-40? :3

A little bit of everything to be honest, you could do fates but I found those so so boring. I did story quests when available and dungeons too. Rested exp helps also, it's all really up to whatever your forte is.

It's also kind of an open question whether kicking AFKs would help anyway, if the population limits are empirical "more than this and duty finder goes boom" numbers.
If they're refactored every once in a while based on finder load, that would also explain the :20 and :50 login waves.

Usually after I start getting 1017's I get in after about 20-30 mins of hitting x. The longest I've ever had to do it for is an hour.

I've kept it up and I get in eventually.

Okay, just making sure I wasn't wasting my time. Was starting to think that once you get 1017, you need to close the client (because this whole time I've left it open and kept re-trying to no avail).

Has anyone tried using a scrip/refresh program?

instant queue to not finish dungeons?

Well if they are failing they feel more inclined to just leave instead of fight it out because they have a instant queue after the 15 minute wait.

I play tank and will continue to stick with the group as long as I see people making progress on improving and learning the mechanics, some people just wont tolerate it and leave after one wipe, or hell if they even think there will be a problem with the group later on in the dungeon.

they aren't failing

they kill one bat and leave

see ss above

at first i figured it was just unlucky dc but 3 times in a row

Maybe they're just not pleased with how fast the bat dies [DPS not up their level of quality]?

I don't know that sounds really odd to me. You can't really get a feel for the group if you don't even give it a chance.

I'm an MMO noob, like, never played one really...will I enjoy getting into this new fangled FF, is it easy to play? Anyone wanna share an impression or two, I'm an old schooler who basically wants to love FF again. Thanks :)

Very easy to play. Don't try playing until Wednesday though.

The polish in this game is off the charts. If you like FF I think you will enjoy this a lot.
