How hard is it for Sony to keep consistent names?

The Xperia line is full of letters and numbers, all confusing.

just realized the bottom bezzel is pretty huge on the phone, wonder how big this phone is lengthwise

From leaked pics it is really only slightly larger than the Xperia Z is. That's not too shabby considering the much larger battery and much larger camera sensor.

They've already settled on the Z as their flagship name after the success of the original Z/ZL. They'll probably go the samsung route of naming the next flagshp the xperia Z II/2. This is more of a half step upgrade since the Z was released only half a year ago.

What is wrong with Sony phones? They are always among the best looking Android phones, have top of the line specs, and can usually run vanilla Android. Why don't more people buy them?

Not widely available on US carriers as far as I can tell

Those 2 are Samsung's main advantage. They spend more but in return they gain a huge market share.

Still wondering if Honami Mini will make an appearance at IFA. If all the insiders are to be believed it's still a bit too early as that's a Q1 2014 device, but still, would be amazing to see it considering it'll go head to head with the new iPhone.

It's hard to love the looks and specs of these phones so much while knowing it will never come to your carrier (Verizon) meaning you have to lower your expectations. I don't understand why Sony doesn't invest in the U.S. market more if they're so confident in their new line of phones. Sure Sony, you might not win against Samsung in the Android market, but you're a hell of a lot better than most companies that still succeed in the U.S. mobile market so why not try it when you have a phone that has a very sexy look that appeals to many people, specs that hold up against most phones today, and a supposedly good camera on this one when it's something a lot of consumers are looking for these days in an Android phone?

If this came to Cincinnati Bell like some of the previous Xperia phones, I might be interested in switching from Verizon to bundle our home phone and internet in with it.

Hope this comes to Verizon, although I suspect that it won't. I am due for a new phone, so I'll probably just end up getting an HTC One
