Technically our 'maybe's were correct too.
Ehh, you sure theyre afk or are they just waiting for FATEs to pop. Costa Del Sol looks like that all the time until a purple dot appears on the map. Then everyone suddenly comes to life.
Im not saying that afkers arent a problem but pictures of people standing there dont really prove that they are either.

I waited around for 5-10 minutes before taking those to make sure of that. I am aware of the roving fate mobs. Then the fact there's no fates in cities.
Edit: Getting a good clear picture of how many people are afking in cities would take some time as most people tend to spread out in Ul'Dah, for example, due to the crystals location.
There were a ton of people afk in all three main cities gathered around the crystal. Same for in high level areas like Northern Thanalan and Mor Dhona. These people in particular didn't move during fate pops at all.

It's been like that for every world. I haven't been able to make a character since the first one back in early access.

In the mean time... I'm a bit curious about 1.0. Is there a good summary article or video series of why it was so bad? I got blips and bloops, but no real overall picture.
Never really poked ff11 either, whats the key differentiater between ARR and 11?

Every world? I see a few NA servers I could start on now, but I want to be on Ultros were GAF is.
Login limit per world is now 7,5-7,8k (up from 5k before the maintenance).

You won't get on Ultros, and I bet none of the other worlds either.
That's a pretty respectable bump.
It isn't out yet. I really hope it'll be soon.
You'll probably be ok. The 3102 error is server side and will hopefully be something SE can fix without needed to bring servers down for maintenance. The only other issue is whether the new instance servers they added will allow everyone on the server to actually log in and play instead of getting stuck behind 1017 error during peak hours.
Nice, now if only the remaining errors can be fixed.

I was playing on Titan yesterday, when I first bought the game. Today I just found out it was a Japanese server. Woops.

I wonder how many characters there are on each server then. Hopefully it isn't above 7.5k or there will most likely be problems during peak time until server populations drop.
There should be an Achievement for that.
I was able to 1-try login a couple times the first few days of early access, but not after like... last Thursday. Actually, Thursday was the last time I was able to login at all.

Its like the game really needs to clear its cache but obviously its not something that be done. My character is still in the world even though I'm logged out and every time I try and get back in I have 3102.
I asked a random person and they said my character name is just stood there where I checked out.

Tends to get overlooked, but this is the worst thing about this launch imo. Having friends buy the game and not being able to roll on the same server as me is something I have never experienced in an MMO before.

Take this for what it is - but three of my friends were just able to create characters on Ultros.
Also - first time logging in, I logged out again and was able to get back in. I am amazed. Really a new thing for me. Now I'm back at work and the itch to see level 50 content is there....

Game should be F2P at this point, if they are having server issues, and fill to the brim servers. Thankfully I have 36 free days to still play no $$$ involved.
